Hentsch Man / Navy Gingham Sunday Shirt

That's so New YorkDespite the fact that Hentsch Man is a menswear label which I have only recently began paying attention to, after signing up to the label newsletter two weeks or so ago, I can't deny that I have been taken somewhat rapidly by the designs on offer. For those of you who do not know, Hentsch Man is a seemingly classic and elegant menswear label which was founded back in 2008 by childhood friends, Alexia and Max. Alexia is considered to be the design force behind the brand, whilst Max is the numbers guy as such, drowning himself in the business-side of the label on a daily basis. Two guesses as to who pulled the short straw here?

This Navy Gingham Sunday Shirt from Hentsch Man is one of my favorite pieces currently retailing via the store, yet at £95.00 it isn't a shirt I would pick up when shopping for a simple, day-to-day item. But not to worry, as I personally think that if I had a party on the horizon or had planned to go out with friends for a meal, this is the sort of item I would happily throw in my shopping basket. 

(Note: Please keep in mind that my reason for not choosing this item as a day-to-day, casual piece is primarily due to the stereotypical teen budget which I'm currently living off of, yet if you're older and occupying a full-time job, I don't see why this piece wouldn't grab itself the title of a fairly reasonably priced impulse purchase.)

My reason for choosing a shirt over the additional array of items retailing via Hentsch Man is primarily due to the fact that I still believe that a shirt is an item which is not gender specific. This means that although Hentsch Man is a menswear brand, it does not mean that a woman cannot purchase a piece for her own wardrobe, rather than the boyfriend; especially with the rise of the Mod trends and blazer loving, tie wearing, trouser ...
