The mass volume of advertising being done by various organizations has the consumers disappointed as they are often being exposed to unnecessary promotions which is something organizations need to avoid. According to Forbes, Pinterest, a popular Internet-based website is giving the audience the option to opt for advertisement or asking their permission to be shown an endorsement to.("Give consumers the Ads they want") Moreover, Facebook shows advertisements based on a consumer's prior searches, making the ads they receive like their interests. This way, the promotions go to the right sector, exposing the user to the ad of their choice. Using the right medium for advertising is also a very important factor. Advertising is not only limited to social media but also different types of media; TV, Radio, Audio Podcasts, to name a few. The promotions that are done should not only be catered to the right segment but also through the right channels. Reports by Pew Research Center shows that adults up till 65 years use Facebook the most.(Social Media Site Usage 2014) Any organization that a similar target market should be using Facebook advertising to market their product out where their product can acquire the right exposure.
