Everything about this Guy Laroche piece is magic and would you believe it came out of a flea market?  Yes a flea market where the world opens up to a new adventure to anyone that is curious…  This vintage Guy Laroche jumpsuit is so NOW so current it isn’t funny and to think it came from a  place that is all about recycling.  Flea markets, thrift stores, consignment boutiques, yard sales, estate sales etc etc all supply the consumer with an option to buy “green”, to buy something that is recycled, to buy something that just needs another home and most importantly to buy something that has already been manufactured so there is no extra waste involved!  That’s why I’m a believer in shopping second hand for everything….  Ok so now that the lecture of shopping second hand is over let me give you a brief history on Guy Laroche…  He was born in France in 1923 and worked in Paris as a milliner.  He established his own salon in 1957.  At first he produced couture pieces but in 1960 he launched his ready-to-wear collection.  Several well known designers have worked under Laroche, Azzedine Alaia, Valentino, Issey Miyake, Michel Klein and Alber Elbaz.  He died in 1989 at the age of 66.  He was a genius in my opinion but he was French so it goes without saying…
