‘Future Fashion Faces World 2016’

The Future Fashion Faces World 2016 (FFFW) models pageant has been scheduled to be held from March 13 to 19, 2016 in Antalya, Turkey and for the first time from Sri Lanka, three young aspiring models; Chamupathi Kalpa, Oshadi Himasha and Aswida Himansha Gimhan have been chosen to represent the country at the global pageant.

The contest, which maintains a number of high ratings in the world ranking events, is being held for the first time this year and is set to attract professional models from around the world, giving them an open platform to showcase their modelling talents and professional skills on the global fashion stage.

The National Director for the FFF in Sri Lanka, Wishva Perera, owns and runs MAT Creations (Pvt) Ltd. In the country and is responsible for attaining the license to organize pageants in Sri Lanka such as Miss Global Tourism Sri Lanka, Mr. and Miss Grand Sea Universe, Mrs. Asia Pacific, Mr. Earth, Miss heritage World and Face of the World, to name just a few.

Commenting on the opportunity that had befallen on our young representatives, Wishva said, “Being our first three nominees to have been chosen by the FFFW to represent Sri Lanka at the upcoming contest in March, I am delighted to say that one of the main attributes that we carry in our organization is the need to give aspiring and up and coming models from Sri Lanka with the opportunity to participate in global pageants such as this without focusing on favouritism.”

Models who will be bestowed with the ‘Future Fashion Faces World’ title will receive the chance to integrate themselves into the global fashion hemisphere as well as attain a status as the most wanted and preferred models in the advertising and film industry.

The three participants from Sri Lanka, comprising of two male models and one female model would be competing with participants from 56 countries and a unique attribute of the competition is that each contestant would be judged from the moment they touchdown in Turkey and commence their journey in embracing their surroundings, showcasing their personality and the way they handle themselves throughout along with their societal behaviourism would encompass some of the criterion that would help the contestants to achieve points before they face the ultimate judging panel. This would also mean that during the contest, the models will have to fulfill different protocol, attend to tourism related exercises as well as take part in charitable and social events.

The three Sri Lankan models, who have had already achieved public status in the country, would be representing the pageant under three categories; Chamupathi Kalpa for Mr. Future Fashion Faces World, Oshadi Himasha for Miss Future Fashion Faces World and Aswida Himansha Gimhan for the All Nation Future Fashion Faces segment. It was also noted that Chamupathi Kalpa was known to be the tallest contestant so far to have been chosen to attend the pageant this year!

Having gained his fashion modeling proviso from The Nilu High Heels Academy, 25-year-old Chamupathi encouraged youth to come forward and embrace the ever-expanding world of pageantry in Sri Lanka which no doubt helps in polishing once outlook in the world of fashion, modelling as well as open doorways for opportunity, gain status in a fast-paced world and provide the opportunity to travel, make friends and network with the crème de la crème of the world of design. A past pupil of Christian College, Sri Jayawardenepura Kotte, Chamupathi was among the finalists for Mr. Sri Lanka 2015. Attributing the number of people who have supported him throughout, Chamupathi added that Mr. Arjuna Senanayake was instrumental in propelling him further into the world of modeling.

Having been on the modeling scene for a while, 23-year-old Oshadi is a first timer in terms of pageant participation and had been a past pupil under the former Miss Sri Lanka, Rozanne Diasz Leanage of Zsaid Images. Having appeared in countless numbers of music videos in Sri Lanka, Oshadi has gained popularity in her modeling career.

27-year-old Aswida is also a past pupil from Zsaid Images and had participated in the Mr. Globe 2015 pageant and won the Mr. Photogenic segment in the contest as well as attained a position in the Top 10.Read more at:evening dresses
