V for Vauthier on Ruby Aldridge

V. for Vauthier

Alexandre Vauthier continues to develop his "V" shape style creations in white, beige and gold, where he showed off his gloriously shimmering, bejeweled and starlike Fall Winter 2012-2013 collection.

The V. silhouette is more assertive than ever with strong shoulder pads, peplum jackets, micro skirts that accentuate long nude legs, high waist pants, vertiginous plunging V necks, belted jumpsuits, extremely high slight gowns and golden lace that molds chrysalis like to the body and accentuated with golden breast chains: the perfect fit for a contemporary Alexis Carrington.

The best models in town were here with casual hair and glowing make up, commencing the show with Sigrid Agren followed by Jac Jagaciak, Zuzanna Bijoch, Jacquelyn Jablonski, Kate King, Caroline Brasch Nielsen, Sui He, Constance Jablonski, (the now brunette) Patricia van der Vliet, Andreea Diaconu, Julia Frauche, Alana Zimmer, Nimue Smit, Melissa Tammerijn, Ruby Aldridge and Hanaa Ben Abdesslem.

My wish? Would be to see that Karlie Kloss' feline walk in those sexy AV lines. Maybe next season?

Benjamin Kanarek and I had the privilege of being invited to attend the Alexandre Vauthier show front row, as well as a few days later Benjamin photographing two magnificent Alexander Vauthier dresses for two different Haute Couture editorial spreads coming out in October. Stay tuned!

In the meantime, enjoy the video shot off the runway and from the front row. By the way, can you spot Emmanuelle Alt, the Editor in Chief of VOGUE Paris?

And some model interviews backstage from Fashion TV.

Spotted front row, Cécile Cassel and Marie Gillain, two talented actresses who obviously enjoyed the show.

Alexandre mixes new techniques and traditional skills supporting a craftmanship only used in Couture with gold embroderie by Lesage using Swarovski crystal beads and pearls, Saga Furs of Scandinavia furs, and Christian Louboutin pumps and low boots.

Vauthier is also exploring new territories with his first fragrance created by one of the masters in the industry: Francis Kurkdjian, already known for creating the best seller "Le Mâle" by Jean Paul Gaultier to name just one of many. Unfortunately, it will remain a special limited edition. However, I wouldn't be surprised if a Perfume License follows suit. That would be a wonderful addition in the expansion of the AV (Alexander Vauthier) Couture House.
