From Work to Play in one outfit

We live in such a fast paced and fashion conscious world that sometimes even after work happy hours can cause stress. How am I supposed to look fresh and trendy for happy hour when I've been crunching numbers in front of a computer for almost 10 hours?!... Don’t worry friends; The Style Hunter is here to help. All you need is a little planning ahead and the right supplies.Let’s start with the face: The easiest way to transform your look from work to play is by taking your make-up up a notch. I always have a mini makeup bag handy with the necessary essentials (a good way to keep it small is to carry sample sizes): perfume for a fresh spritz, eyeliner and mascara to emphasize the eyes and a swipe of lip gloss to instantly revive your face. This season is all about the side braid so if your hair is not cooperating simply braid it and tease it a little for a tre chic look.Statement Jewelry: as I usually say...it is all in the details and accessories are super important this season. To update your look and completely change the outfit, carry one statement piece with you so that with one touch you’ll instantly be accessorized. Long beaded necklaces, cocktail rings and even a simple pair of hoops can bling up a boring work outfit. The Shoes: I'm the kind of gal who wears heels to the beach, literally... but I know that is not the case for everyone. So, if during the day you prefer the more comfy flats keep in your car a pair of sky high stilettos that will help you sexify your look. Make it a metallic strappy sandal and you'll look extra hot.Layer, layer, layer: This season it is all about dresses and skirts, so if you want to wear your little black dress to work and keep it appropriate, layer it with a blazer or cardigan... offices are usually cold anyway.Last but not least, the bag: My bags are like Mary Poppins’ suitcase, big and full of surprises...but who wants to carry all that weight on the dance floor or have to rummage through an over packed purse at the bar? All you need room for is your ID, credit card, cash, cell phone, compact, and lipstick so change the big hobo for a trendy clutch. To make it easier, invest in a “going out” clutch like a black patent leather or metallic that that will match most outfits. So there you have it, my tips to looking fab from the office to the party.I have to go now and crunch some more numbers, but don't forget to check out the Urban Decay giveaway I have going on in Facebook... you have until Friday to participate!XOXOThe Style Hunter
