Niharika Konidela and Chaitanya Jonnalagadda tied the knot on December 9 at a palatial venue in Udaipur and the couple kick-started their pre-wedding festivities in Hyderabad before even heading there. Right from Niharika’s mangala snanam and pelli kuturu ceremonies, from lehengas to kanjeevaram sarees her looks have been much-talked about with fans looking forward to her bridal outfits.
For the mangala snanam event, she opted for a red saree with a gold border. Niharika opted for a green pattu saree with a purple and gold border that she paired with an embroidered, matching blouse. With her hair tied back in a traditional plait, the actress wore gold jewellery, consisting of a maang tikka, nose ring, earrings, choker and bangles to complete the look.
For Pelli kuturu, Niharika looked extra special on this day, and it’s no wonder, seeing as how she opted for her mom’s 32-year-old saree from her engagement for the day. She even shared a picture of her mom in the saree from her engagement. Niharika however opted to pair the blue and gold saree with a dark blue embroidered blouse, apart from a vaddanam, necklace, earrings, nose ring and maang tikka.
For the sangeet, She wanted a gown that was dark but with sequins, and we found the perfect fit in a Shantanu & Nikhil gown. she opted for an emerald green and black pleated number with a plunging neckline and fringe detailing. Later on, she changed into a ruby red dress.
For the mehendi and sun-downer, Niharika wanted something that was pretty and colourful. So we went with a lehenga by Aisha Rao in rainbow colours, signifying beautiful new beginnings. She changed into a colourful lehenga with matching jewellery. As for the haldi, she has opted for a gorgeous yellow kurta and palazzos set, apart from a saree.
Niharika will tie the knot with Chaitanya JV at a lounge as the sun sets. “Pastel pinks, greys, mauves, burgundies and similar colour schemes will rule the day as the princess of the family gets married. It will be a royal affair to remember as Niharika will don a specially crafted kanjeevaram saree that was weaved in Chennai.
