Roberto Cavalli makes us more than well aware of the importance of fringe for spring 2011. Throughout his ready-to-wear collection, if something was not fringed, it was not on the runway. Cavalli takes the art of fringing and makes this own. We are usedto seeing the fringed bags, fringed necklines and fringed hemlines, but fringe all over an entire dress defies the laws of fringe and reconstructs them. In an odd way they remind me of 1920's flapper dresses which adds to my love for his fringes for spring 2011.
