First Fashion Blog

Who created the very first fashion blog?  Well, over the years their has been a huge debate over this question.  Fortunately for you, I actually have the official answer to this long debated question.  Are you curious as to who developed the first official fashion blog?  Should I tell you or keep it a secret?  I can't hear you...

OK, I have to be straight with you.  I have fibbed twice so far in this blog post (bent the truth).

My First Fashionable Fib: The truth is that their has not truly been a "huge debate over this question".  I actually just made up that huge debate comment to add a bit of intrigue to my post.  In fact, it is very possible that no one ever asked themselves or asked someone else, "who created the very first fashion blog?".  It is probable, that no one really cares.

My Second Fashionable Fib: The second fib that I made thus far in this post is when I said, "I actually have the official answer".  Think about it.  How could I possibly have the official answer to this question.  I have not read every single page on the internet.  How would I or anyone else figure out who was literally creating the very first fashion blog.  Let's keep in mind, people were probably writing fashion blog posts before the term blog was even popular or created.  For that matter, what is the exact definition of a fashion blog?

Anyway, now that we know I have bent the truth twice already, I will leave it up to you to determine if I am making the next thing up or if I am telling the truth.

I created the first fashion blog ever.  Although, the posts had not been very good (similar to my current posts), I did in fact ramble about fashion back in 2000.  These were not official news articles, so I would personally consider them to be technically blog posts.  However, at that time, I had never heard of the word blog, blogging, or bloggers.  Back in 2000, I called this the fashion think tank section.  The idea was to write random and rather brief posts regarding various issues relevant to the fashion industry.  I then kept a list of them with links to the posts.  Very similar to how blog posts appear today on most blog sites (I had dated the posts; but not linked to them by date because I had not developed enough posts to do so).

Was the Think Tank section on Apparel Search, the first fashion blog???  Do you know any developed prior to the year 2000?

I assume that one of the members of the Fashion Industry Network has created the very first fashion blog.  I am not sure which member, but I assume that one of the members must of done the honors.

If you actually read this fashion blog post, I hope I did not hurt your brain.  Some times, I enjoy writing about things that do not have great importance...

PLEASE keep all discussions relevant to fashion, textiles, beauty products, or jewelry.
