Well let us guide you from here.

This designer handbag features luxurious material and elegant design and late Princess Diana made this bag very popular. It all began back in 1995 when France’s first lady gave a black leather bag to Princess of Wales from Christian Dior. Princess was so happy to see the elegant stitching and design of the bag and she fell in love with the bag. She ordered the bags in every style available at that time. The bag immediately became popular after being associated with the most photographed lady.

During her visit to children’s home in 1995, she was photographed sporting the bag and carrying the child in her arms. After that she was seen totting the bag during an official visit to Argentina. The house of Dior renamed the bag in honor of princess and since then its name is Lady Dior. One of the most iconic bags from the house of Dior is still loved by fashionistas.

The Lady Dior is one of the most famous fashion accessories in the world. Beautiful fabrics, craftsmanship and unmatched creativity are some of the factors that made this bag so much popular. But this bag comes at a high price. The good news is that you can get this bag at very reasonable prices. Thanks to Secret Vintage Collection who offer designer handbags with the guarantee of authenticity. Apart from this you can also buy Chanel handbags, Louis Vuitton and Hermes bags from SVC’s online store.

So no need to look further, just go through our collection of designer bags and choose the one you love the most.

It is a rare bird indeed and thus is taken very seriously by those in the metier. It is akin to Formula 1 Racing or the Paris Le Salon de l'Auto where prototypes are shown and dreamt upon by the multitude of onlookers.

This year Fall-Winter 2012/2013 Haute Couture Collections were most definitely eye candy for this viewers eyes. Fashion Photographer Benjamin Kanarek photographed Maud Welzen from Elite Models Paris and DNA New York for Harper's BAZAAR en Español. Maud is starring in "In My Castle" fashion editorial which was shot appropriately at the Luxurious Palace Hotel Shangri-La, París. Maud was the perfect model to be wrapped lavishly in some of the most exciting, dazzling Couture creations in quite a while. Despite her young career Maud has already walked for a considerable number of shows and has been the face for several prestigious fashion brands like Versace for Versus, Valentino and this season for Ralph Lauren and Belstaff.

Princess Maud Welzen, alone in her castle, strolls from Salon to Salon wearing her Haute Couture gowns from Christian Dior with the first Haute Couture Collection by Raf Simons, Valentino Haute Couture, Atelier Versace, Elie Saab Haute Couture, Armani Privé, Gaultier Paris, Giambattista Valli Haute Couture, Jantaminiau, Maison Martin Margiela, Alexandre Vauthier Couture, Chanel Haute Couture and Givenchy Haute Couture by Riccardo Tisci.

Fashion video by Frédérique Renaut

<iframe width="700" height="450" Unwilling to take an eight-month sabbatical from the sport, I entertained momentary flirtations with a snowboard simulator but wondered about its ability to give me anything more than a mediocre core workout, one easily matched by a simple sit-up regime. I needed to substitute snowboarding with something that required similar movement and a push outside of my comfort zone. I decided to take up skateboarding.

Having no idea about which skateboard would work best for me, I chose a cute looking board by Moxie Girl (not to be confused with Roxy) and used the ballet bar in my dance studio to pull myself along the hardwood floor. To my credit, I was fearless from the start and even attempted several kick flips in the foyer, which I had dutifully studied on You Tube. However, when the board suddenly flew out from under my feet with reckless abandon, I concluded that some lessons might be required.

As it turned out, a friend of mine, born-and-bred California girl, had an in with the local surfer/skater community and a black book of professional skating contacts. Without long consideration she decided that her good friend, Steve Olson would love to teach me and told me to email him.

Stacy Peralta

Olson interviewed me via telephone before we met, asking me a variety of questions from what type of helmet and padding I had, to how strong my bones were and how flexible I was. Before agreeing, he kept repeating that he “didn’t normally teach” which I thought was strange since I had assumed he must be a professional skateboard instructor. Yet he agreed to meet for a trial lesson.

Professional he was. I was later informed he was a former World Champion. No pressure on me, then.

© Steve Olson by: Alex Olson

Upon arrival at my first lesson, Olson took one look at my cute little Moxie board and shook his head as if to imply I had brought shame upon the sport. He spent about ten minutes explaining why this was not a well designed board, though he admitted he could see how the graphic would have appealed to me. He then moved on to my attire. I was reprimanded for wearing Ugg boots and the suggestion that I trade them for my Dior biker boots was equally unwelcome. Apparently, I needed to purchase Vans.

“So have you stood on a skateboard before?” he asked. I truthfully admitted that, other than my few attempts in the dance studio, I found the prospect to be a little scary, but inspired by snowboarding, I was now up for the challenge.

© Steve Olson

By the end of our trial lesson, I found Olson to be an excellent teacher. He was methodical, patient and very encouraging. He didn’t push me too fast, yet kept me learning at a pace that promised consistent rewards. I was inspired and I think he was as well. After all, considering the fact that Olson “didn’t usually teach” he seemed to enjoy the opportunity to give constructive criticism and impart year’s worth of wisdom upon an enthusiastic blank canvas. I promised to be the perfect muse.

©Jay Adams

Skateboarding, particularly the classic styles that inspire me, is about movement and balance. Being a dancer, I found that I already had some of the principle elements of the sport engrained. Watching skaters like Jay Adams and Stacy Peralta, one can’t help but be seduced by their effortless fluidity.

Becoming proficient at skateboarding takes both passion and commitment. I never knew if I would enjoy the sport, but as it turned out, I felt this drive to be skateboarding every day and missed it when I didn’t get the opportunity to practice. I don’t know where the passion has come from, but the determination to master the movements that I find so inspiring now feels part of my soul.

©Chloë Sevigny

The popularity of skateboarding is as big as soccer or baseball in terms of participation. There are thousands of people around the world who skateboard for a living in one way or another and there are more skateboard websites and magazines than ever before.

©Kirsten Lea

Sadly, when it comes to skater girl fashion, the current marketplace leaves a lot to be desired.
There are extremely few females who look beautiful, elegant and stylish while on their board. I can find only one example, possibly the most stylish female in the world, Chloë Sevigny. Let’s be fair, Chloë looks beyond cool no matter what she wears.

©Stacy Peralta

Now, a month into my training, I’m spending more time working on my core muscles to ease the strain on my lower legs. So far, I’ve had no bad falls, which I credit partly to my cautious nature and mostly to Olson, who is always on standby in case I start to wobble.

I’m interested to see how the skateboarding will have helped my snowboarding skills. If nothing else, my confidence and fearlessness is steadily increasing.

Since I live in California, come summer time, I’m sure that I will be embarking on the inevitable surf lessons and who knows, by the end of the year I could be the new face of Roxy. (Not to be confused with Moxie).

by: Kirsten Lea

I am once again shown the dangerous game of being on top of that mountain. You may be alone perched on the tip with hungry wolves just below waiting patiently for a chance to jump in. Yves Saint Laurent, Calvin Klein, Alexander McQueen and now the fashion sweetheart, John Galliano, are just a few who lost their crowns.

I have been poking with a stick this fame and fortune subject for awhile. Why do we hold this insatiable desire to be branded by labels and recognized? Consumers want it and designers want to become it. Back in November 2009, I wrote about it for Benjamin Kanarek's blog (link) and have not stopped thinking about it ever since. It is evident to me I no longer want to chase the carrot of fame and fortune. Instead, the pursuit of earning a living doing what I love is my calling. Mind you, this does not eliminate the eventuality of working with the big dogs, it just releases the pressure of having to.

John Galliano followed the footsteps of so many other celebrities before him. How he held this irrational and insurmountable pressure of producing the success of DIOR for so long is a defeat in itself. It may have been his curse in the long run, it would have been mine. I know I would have lost the joy of designing, period. His fame and fortune was also his ball and chain. His adoring and devoted fashion harem left him as quickly as they had adopted him and this is a painful reality. The superficiality of fashion and his celebrity status hits home me. No celebrity is banned from losing their place in their profession. Britney Spears, Tiger Woods and Charlie Sheen are just three among many who have had tainted their spotlight.

and last but not least my Fave... Do you know when to do a fashion shoot? This is a vitally important issue. And while most are not there to ski, I find it is the perfect time to take to the beautiful slopes of the Canyon resort, as they are so quiet during the festival. Given that one may be sharing a gondola with any number of important Hollywood executives, friends have recently asked me for my advice on ski style and this is my response.

I suggest choosing your ski wear based on three elements: fashion, function and features. I have seen many a hideous ski suit sail by this winter and I was particularly disturbed by the popularity of plaid. I understand the importance of being seen on the slopes and advise against the all-white ensemble, as it will make you difficult to locate in an emergency situation.

It is helpful to know the colors of the ski school in the location that you’re visiting and avoid wearing these colors as you will be bound to attract a barrage of unwanted questions from demanding tourists. Also, unless you’re obligated by sponsorship, don’t mix and match bold colors, as you’ll look uncoordinated, which is never a good thing. A perfect combination is a bright jacket with white pants. Nils produced a beautiful coral jacket this season, which I teamed with white pants and boots. Pairing black and white is always a safe and chic choice, on and off of the slopes. My favorite brand is Kjus who produce lightweight yet very warm and comfortable jackets with plenty of pockets, meaning you will not be obliged to carry a camel pack everyday.

The item that everyone needs to get right is eye protection. While large Dior sunglasses are perfect for post-slope parading, you will want a pair of sturdy goggle when you race down the hill against an on-coming blizzard. For this necessary accessory, Oakley and Zeal are the best on the market. If you’re willing to splurge to the tune of $500, you will not regret the fog-proof GPS super goggles by Zeal. They are rechargeable and will tell you the time, speed and direction of where you are at any given moment. If that doesn’t get you excited, then the D&G crystallized goggles most certainly will.

For extra protection, factor in a helmet, which are made with a built-in goggle clip. You may as well get used to the idea of a helmet as the US plans on making them a requirement in the near future. Already, you’ll see more helmets on American resorts than you will in Europe, as the US tends to be more concerned with liability. For the ultimate glamour statement, you will want to get your head in the Crystograph Bognor ski helmet.

When it comes to winter sports, cold hands are a major handicap. Not only are they distracting but cold fingers can decrease fine motor control and make it difficult for skiers to grip their poles. This is why heated gloves by Hestra or Venture are my recommended purchase of the season. Unlike the archaic hand warmer, which only heats the palm, these gloves are heated by a rechargeable lithium battery and warm the entire hand. Don’t expect to make any friends on the chairlift though as these gloves with flashing red lights are guaranteed to be the source of envy.

Paris Hilton and Company

When it comes to toes, there are a wide range of boot heaters now available but I don’t advise purchasing these until you have arrived at your resort, Once there, find a local Sure Foot store, who specialize in fitting ski and snowboard boots and they will fit the re-chargeable boot warmers for you. The best boot warmers have three settings, which not only keeps your toes cozy but also protects your feet and ankles from injury because heated muscles are far more likely to survive a fall. For extra added warmth on those super cold days, invest in a heat trapping boot glove. Developed in Alaska, the thermal neoprene cover fits like a snug glove over almost any ski boot, protecting it from wind and snow chill.

To keep the rest of your body warm, you will want top of the line thermal underwear. Kenyon and Hot Chilly make excellent breathable, thermal crew tops and pants. Snowboarders will appreciate the wide range of padded shorts available with brands such as McDavid and POC offering the highest quality selection.

After a long day of weaving through the evergreens, you will want to peel off all of these layers, grab a hot chocolate and take a walk around the village. Après-Skiwear isn’t complete without cozy knits and cashmere, with my personal favorite being Ralph Lauren. Chanel have a fine line in winter boots this season and Dior have the monopoly on fashionable moonboots.

For a pre-dinner reading session, I can usually be found curled up by the fire under my Hermes cashmere blanket and Frette Coquette cashmere socks.

The biggest downside to all of these wonderful style choices is of course, packing. You will not want to be rolling a Louis Vuitton or Goyard case through the snow which is why I recommend opting for Burton waterproof luggage who also make carriers for skies and snowboards. To make your vacation that much smoother, I suggest shipping your luggage in advance using FedEx, WorldNet or UPS. That way you can arrive in style with a single, light carry on which you can weave seamlessly into your travel look.

by Kirsten Lea from Benjamin Kanarek Blog

While some are recovering from the New Year festivities, the beautiful belles of Hollywood are in fashion overdrive as the start of the year marks the most important period on any fashionista calendar, Awards Season.

From the People’s Choice Awards, Critic’s Choice Awards, SAG Awards, Golden Globes and ultimately, the Academy Awards; these ceremonies pepper my calendar like a battle stratagem. Each Red Carpet is a crusade and it is expected of one to enter the fashion fray wearing armor in the form of the perfect floor length dress.

Awards season is about originality. For this reason we must turn our focus from ready-to-wear to one-of-a-kind dresses designed to make you, and only you, look outstanding. Simply put, that means Couture. Armani, Valentino, Chanel and Dior are classic Haute Couture choices but newer designers such as Lloyd Klein and Ralph & Russo are also making headlines with their inspired dresses, which fit their inhabitants like a second skin.

Designers play an important role on the red carpet. More than simply a fancy name, they are a representation of an actor’s brand.

Most people consider that it is only the nominees and presenters who have to concern themselves with getting the right dress, but in fact there are several hundred other guests invited to most of the Awards ceremonies all of whom are just as concerned about finding their perfect look as the people who end up in the magazines.

Different designers enjoy dressing different body types, so it is essential that we understand what best suits our shape and features. We must pay close attention to which colors and metals suit our skin tone. Once you have a color in mind, consider which of your features you’d like to highlight.

To accentuate a bigger bust and a small waste, a corseted bodice is a classic choice. For those with note-worthy décolletage, consider a playful dress by Baracci. Baracci designs the crème de la crème of playmate wear, making corseted dresses, specifically designed for busty girls.

If you plan on wearing dazzling jewels by Harry Winston or Cartier you can let them shine against a minimalistic dress instead of diffusing the focus with too much sparkle.

When borrowing from a designer, which is usually arranged through a stylist, always have a back-up plan in mind, or you might find yourself in a sticky situation. Dresses can be revoked at the last minute if a higher-profile celebrity decides that it is meant to be hers. In unfortunate situations such as these, nobody wants to be left wearing Van Cleef & Arpels with nothing but a birthday suit.

As each ceremony passes, the fashion pages are filled with who won and who failed to win, not only the awards, but also the public approval. I regularly observe the most talked about outfits and often disagree with general consensus. Last year at the Emmy Awards, I was on the red carpet just behind Mad Men lead actress January Jones and I thought she looked stunning in her royal blue Versace creation, yet critics were not kind.

From my own experience, I know that you can never please everyone, so the most important choice you can make is to please yourself by ensuring you are comfortable, coordinated and looking the best you believe you can look. I think it’s fun to give the starlets a run for their money. And after all, there really aren’t too many occasions when a diamond-encrusted gown is the most suitable attire. Carpe Diem.

by Kirsten Lea from Benjamin Kanarek Blog

His latest couture offering in Paris had me punching the air with affectionate pride as he proved yet again he is the master of his universe. Couture makes me giddy like gas and air. The expectation is as some Shakespeare chap once fleetingly mentioned; “like the night before some festival to an impatient child that hath new robes and may not wear them”.The hype, the anticipation, the excitement, the spectacle, it’s all too much. And that’s exactly the point. Now let’s talk facts and figures. Jardin Rodin was the striking backdrop for Galliano’s Autumn/Winter 2008-2009 Couture collection. Had Auguste Rodin been alive, I’m sure he would have approved given that he was a founding member of the Société Nationale des Beaux-Arts.Galliano’s monochromatic collection punctured with subtle sorbet shades was outstanding. He showcased amazing silhouettes, grown up gowns and dramatic coats all with a playful nod to the proportions of Dior’s infamous “New Look”. Dior is a genius, okay I know the superlatives are coming thick and fast, so I’ll try to curb my enthusiasm and just report the specifics. The collection began with Dietrich mystery, with dark dramatic lips, billowing sleeves and cuffs and razor sharp shapes. There were Gestapo ensembles in hard black, the new black, followed by a fringed flapper dress, all worn by the obligatory 50’s wartime heroine, with sculptured skull-cloche caps to accompany. Then as the imagination began warming up, so too did the colour palette. Acid party frocks in leopard print, lilac and zany lemon zest were all a stand out, all with cinched waists and belts. Full, cupcake layered ruffle skirts were a cute extension of exuberant draping. A billowing design melted along the slim shoulders of one model in a coffee coloured marshmallow-esque bolero. Sheer seduction still appeared to be a popular motif, with hints of legs and arms on display. One dress with flowing rainbow trout colours was secured with a samurai-like corset. A grey, ice cube, full length, flamenco gown looked like a handsome, transparent jellyfish. Sweetheart necked leotards acted as bodices for a barely there skirt and skirts skipped by with inverted Pierrot ruffs. A few Cinderella inspired tulle gowns later (that will undoubtedly hitting a red carpet near you) and the master of couture took his character-full bow. Bravo Galliano.■ BexBella
