And all they want is to look perfect, oh and also the look should be one of its kinds. Indian Wedding Dresses should be a result of the best blending of traditional forms and elegance.

What outfits can a bride choose from on her big day?

A traditional bride can drape an ethnic Indian Silk Saree or a Designer one, or go for an embellished or embroidered Lehenga. The experimental bride can go for a Lehenga-Saree or a floor-kissing Anarkali Suit. Indo-Western gowns might also be preferred by some, for that mess-free look.

What colours to choose?

Most Indian brides prefer wearing a dual-colour saree, where the body has the main shade, and the borders and pallu another. It can be single-coloured too, with zari work all over. The usual bridal colours that are preferred are of a reddish hue- red, vermillion, marron, magenta, orange or yellow. The combination colours may be varied.

Some brides nowadays also prefer off beat colours like blue, green, teal, purple for their bridal outfit.

Designs for your D-Day outfit

Hand-embroidered zari or zardozi work, traditional embroideries with motifs are probably the most preferred. Modern brides can also go for sequined, or pearl-embellished Designer Lehengas for your big day. Other handiworks like gota patti, can also be chosen.

How to pick that perfect outfit suited for you?

The only thing that should matter the most is the fit. It should neither be loose or ill-fitted nor should it be too tight making you suffocating. So be careful about the measurements.

You can stick to one-type of fabric and get a mix and match fabric too as per your level of comfort. And choose the shade you like and just carry it confidently. Everything will fall in place.

Some pro-tips for all those would-be brides

Accessorize your outfit rightly. A beautifully drawn mehndi with figurines, a matching clutch bag, a neat hairdo, and a pair of heels. But choose that pair which is comfortable for your feet, because there will be long hours of standing and wearing shoes. You’ll anyway be wearing a heavy outfit, so don’t overburden yourself.

Also, choose jewellery that complements your outfit and don’t make it look OTT.

You can go for a shimmery look with bright eyes and bold lips, it is trending and looks super chic.

Indian dresses bring out the best of you and give you that dreamy look that you have always been looking for to attain on your best day. So where does fashion, design, art, and gemstones fit into the mix? Well, art and design came naturally from a very young age; from painting portraits of family members and friends, creating handmade cards during the holidays or spending hours creating sketches and painting in sketchbooks. The entrepreneurial aspect came when I was immersed into my family business - SONATONA. Sonatona started from humble beginnings, when my family first immigrated to Canada in 2004.

My mission: While I may be studying neuroscience and human bio during my undergrad, I have always had a passion for art, design, and business. This project is my vision for blending all three into one. The beautiful sister to the Duchess of Cambridge, Kate Middleton, is said to be keeping her wedding to James Matthews a small and intimate event, but due to her party planning skills, it will likely still be extravagant and lavish. Many anticipate the occasion to be the wedding of the year.

Rumors swirled that there was a feud brewing between Pippa and Kate when the engagement was announced over Kate’s involvement in the ceremony. These rumors have been stamped out as false, yet it is the case that Duchess Kate will not be a part of the wedding party out of respect for her sister on her big day.

Related: cheap bridesmaid dresses

Royals experts indicated that it would be poor etiquette for Kate to be in the wedding party due to her likelihood of stealing the spotlight. Kate is, however, probably going to do a reading at the occasion.

More rumors have since begun to circulate regarding worries the Queen has about Pippa’s future in-laws being linked to the Royal Family. James’ brother Spencer is known for some questionable antics and has been on various U.K. reality programs which the Queen was reportedly not fond of having ties to. The latest rumor involves Queen Elizabeth’s apparent disgust about the Matthews’ intentions to use Pippa’s connections with the royals to their own advantage and profit. Celebrity Dirty Laundry shares this claim about Spencer’s latest starring role on a reality show and Pippa’s worry that he may use his connection to the royals as a topic while on the show.

“James Matthews’ brother Spencer is already one of the most controversial celebrities in the British entertainment world. Back in September, he made headlines for posing nearly nude in a London window shop to help promote an online fashion brand. He’s also known for making public confessions about his sex life. Pippa is hoping that Spencer won’t say anything that will humiliate her on the show.”The soon-to-air- reality show is called The Jump and other than Spencer, there is another royal connection who will star on the show. Emma Cast, the niece of Prince Charles’ wife, Camilla Parker Bowles, will also appear. However it is Spencer that the Queen, and Pippa are more concerned about. CDL explains the reality star’s recent antics that have caused concern.

“James Matthews’ brother Spencer is already one of the most controversial celebrities in the British entertainment world. However, this rumor and that of the supposed worry of the Queen and Pippa are yet to be verified.

What is known is that Kate Middleton and Prince William have been very busy and even though they usually are on a getaway in Mustique over the month of January, this year they returned to their royal duties early to help out the Queen who has been sick. Additionally, despite possible worries about Spencer Matthews and his ongoing antics, Pippais excited about her upcoming nuptials, as the Irish Independent shares, and will likely be just as stunning as her sister was on her wedding day, when she acted as her maid of honor back in 2011.

Also see: bridesmaids dresses

Armstrong-Steenslandhttps://www.fashionindustrynetwork.com/profiles/blogs/armstrong-steensland2016-10-24T07:02:43.000Z2016-10-24T07:02:43.000ZEva Robertsonhttps://www.fashionindustrynetwork.com/members/EvaRobertson

Hannah Kristen Armstrong and Sterling Jacob Steensland were united in marriage Aug. 6, 2016, at the Sunburst Lodge on Casper Mountain with the Rev. Grande has shared that she wanted a unique white off-shoulder wedding dress, covered in diamonds, with the longest possible veil and train. The possible date of the wedding has not been decided. In the meantime, Ariana Grande's new music video for "Side To Side" featuring Nicki Minaj was released last month and has gained 188 million views to date.

Related: beautiful wedding dresses

What to Wear to a Wedding - based on Location!https://www.fashionindustrynetwork.com/profiles/blogs/what-to-wear-to-a-wedding-based-on-location2016-10-05T08:30:00.000Z2016-10-05T08:30:00.000ZBethany Pembrookhttps://www.fashionindustrynetwork.com/members/BethanyPembrook

There comes a time in everyone's life when we suddenly reach the age at which the wedding invitations start flooding in!

All of a sudden, weekends become filled with bachelorette parties, wedding ceremonies and huge parties - not that anyone is complaining! it's very true that no 2 weddings are the same, so you can be sure of a different dress code for each one.

While there a few big old no-nos such, like wearing white for example, it’s often difficult to know what to wear and how to accessorise appropriately for different weddings. Where the wedding is taking place can often tell you a lot about what the bride and groom have planned for their big day, so by dressing for the location and you’ll never be caught out again.

The Beach Wedding

Enjoying the sun, sea and sand of a destination wedding means you’ll be looking for a flowy dress that keeps you cool and doesn’t crease. Keep your accessories low-key with dainty necklaces, or showcase your wedding up-do with a stunning pair of diamond earrings. Diamond earrings are perhaps the most hard-working accessory you will ever invest in, so it’s worth shopping around for high-quality diamonds online to find the perfect pair.

The Princess Wedding

A fairytale wedding calls for you to stick to wedding etiquette rules, as the bride will likely be following them to an absolute tee. This means wearing a respectable length dress with a thicker strap, some mid-height heels and low-key jewellery. If the bride has gone to the effort of planning the perfect fairytale wedding, don’t risk upstaging her with any aspect of your outfit.

The Country Wedding

Country weddings are a great opportunity to let your boho side loose. Even if you won’t be going as far as wearing cowboy boots under your dress, you can still have some fun with a playful outfit. Floral patterns work well for country weddings; simply pair your dress with an eye-catching pendant necklace. Designers such as Theo Fennell and Thomas sabo are renowned for their dainty, magical jewellery.

The City Wedding

This will probably take place in a hotel - with champers is flowing, and the bride is wearing a sleek and simple wedding dress. This type of wedding calls for a low-key dress with high-fashion accessories and offers the perfect opportunity to showcase a statement piece of jewellery. Try a classic LBD – with a pop of colour – paired with a bold bangle bracelet or statement necklace. You can get away with more at a city wedding - try and mix up a classic night out outfit.

7 Reasons Why Your Best Friend Actually Makes The Perfect Roommatehttps://www.fashionindustrynetwork.com/profiles/blogs/7-reasons-why-your-best-friend-actually-makes-the-perfect2016-09-19T06:39:13.000Z2016-09-19T06:39:13.000ZEva Robertsonhttps://www.fashionindustrynetwork.com/members/EvaRobertson

You always hear the warnings about moving in with your BFF.

You’re going to get sick of each other; it’ll be uncomfortable if someone doesn’t pick up the slack; you don’t know how financially stable they are on their own, etc.

Yes, these are all very good points and they’re important to think about, but I can confidently give you WAY more reasons you should just pack your crap up and move in with your BFF.

Related: http://www.sheindressau.com/backless-wedding-dresses

1. Yes, it would be an additional person to feed at the reception. I feel your pain there. Weddings have gotten ridiculously expensive, and it's hard for average folks to keep up.

But out of respect for her role as the catalyst for your marriage — and to avoid bringing bad juju upon your big day — do whatever it takes to make it work and invite her. His wife was eight months pregnant, and Castlin was working nights at a Wingate Inn near Barrett Parkway and I-75; he wanted his days open so he could pursue a business degree. But he would never meet his daughter. Instead, two men held up the Wingate on Dec. 7, stealing a few hundred dollars and shooting Castlin in the chest before fleeing the scene.

On Tuesday, more than 15 years after Castlin died, his family watched as the man responsible was sentenced to spend the rest of his life in prison. Life plus 35 years was the sentence they wanted, and they got it.

Also see: bridesmaid dresses sydney

“We want to make sure justice is served at this time and that no other family — no other family — is able to have this type of experience that we have experienced,” Kelley Castlin, Rodney’s widow, told the court.

James Lorenzo Randolph got away with murder for 15 years. Last month, however, a Cobb County jury convicted him of malice murder, felony murder, criminal attempt to commit armed robbery, two counts of armed robbery, aggravated assault and possession of a firearm during commission of a felony.

Before he was sentenced Tuesday, Randolph, 34, was given the chance to address the Castlin family.

“I feel their pain,” he said. “I apologize that they lost a loved one. I know how they feel because I lost two loved ones. I’m sorry, man.”

Kelley and Rodney Castlin had a 4-year-old son, Kyle. But in 1999, the Castlins’ 8-month-old daughter died unexpectedly. Then came word in 2000 that Kelley was pregnant again.

“We were very excited and optimistic,” Castlin said Tuesday.

But her husband was killed before his daughter was born.

Almost 2,000 people attended the funeral for Castlin, who was voted “Most Humorous” by his senior class at the former Walker High School in Decatur. Castlin also had two children from a previous relationship.

For nearly 14 years, the Castlin family hoped for answers to who had killed him. But the one fingerprint found at the crime scene returned no matches for investigators checking a Georgia database.

In 2012, the fingerprint was run through a national database, and this time, Randolph was identified as a match. In February 2014, a cold case unit was established within the Cobb DA’s office, and in October that year, U.S. marshals located and arrested Randolph in South Carolina, where he was already a felon and had served nine years on a burglary conviction. He was returned days later to Cobb County, where he has been held without bond.

In court Tuesday, Randolph’s attorneys asked Judge Robert Flournoy for a sentence that would make Randolph eligible for parole. Flournoy denied that request, sentencing Randolph to serve the remainder of his life in prison.

“Today was definitely the culmination of a long road,” DA Vic Reynolds told The Atlanta Journal-Constitution. “Hopefully this can be the final closure to a very tragic situation. Justice was finally served today.”

See more at bridesmaid dresses brisbane

Choosing a Wedding Dress Colorhttps://www.fashionindustrynetwork.com/profiles/blogs/choosing-a-wedding-dress-color2016-02-17T12:14:28.000Z2016-02-17T12:14:28.000ZJulia Gomeshttps://www.fashionindustrynetwork.com/members/JuliaGomes

While wedding dresses are traditionally white, today’s brides are beginning to explore the idea of other colors for their dress. Some brides want to stick out from the crowd, while others simply want something more interesting than traditional white. Either way, choosing a wedding dress color can be a tricky task.

When deciding on a color for your wedding dress it is important to consider the colors you look the best in. The color of your wedding dress should flatter your skin tone and be a color you enjoy wearing. Think about what your favorite color is and figure out if it will work for your wedding dress.

If choosing a color is too overwhelming on your own, it is best to talk to a wedding professional. A professional will help you come up with viable ideas for your dress color. They will have knowledge about which colors are seasonal and fashionable. For example, if you are getting married during the summer a soft pastel color makes for a seasonal and fashionable wedding dress. A wintertime wedding calls for rich, deep colors and a springtime wedding is best suited to bright colors.

Often the easiest place to shop for a colored wedding dress is a prom dress store, as they generally have a wide selection of them, whereas most bridal stores don’t. If you do find yourself shopping at a bridal store, consider looking at dresses meant for a bride’s mother. Many of these colored dresses can also serve as a wedding gown.

An increasing number of brides are choosing blush as their wedding dress color. This light pink shade is great for the most feminine brides and you might find that it is the best color choice for you. Many brides choose blush because it perfectly captures the romance of the day, but it also looks amazing with ambient lighting such as that from sparklers for weddings or party lanterns that are often used for outdoor ceremonies.

You may find that after shopping for a colored wedding dress you are considering choosing a white one instead. If this is your ultimate choice, there are various shades of white that lend themselves well to wedding dresses. The most popular alternative to the standard white wedding dress is an ivory one. However, even in the case of a white dress you need to consider the season you are getting married during. Off white is appropriate anytime, but if you are getting married in the spring you should also consider bone and cream colors. During the fall season champagne and oyster are fitting shades of white for your dress. When considering any shade of white you need to take into account the lighting in your wedding venue.

No matter what color you choose for your wedding dress it is important to obtain a fabric swatch in your chosen color. This allows you to choose accessories and bridesmaids dresses that will complement your dress, which should be a factor in your decision.

As long as you are happy with the color of your dress, you will have made the right choice.

Bachelors' Club of New Orleans 76th annual presentationhttps://www.fashionindustrynetwork.com/profiles/blogs/bachelors-club-of-new-orleans-76th-annual-presentation2015-11-30T03:19:43.000Z2015-11-30T03:19:43.000ZEva Robertsonhttps://www.fashionindustrynetwork.com/members/EvaRobertson

It was the eve of Thanksgiving. How can you have two of your most serious marital problems BEFORE you're married? Now you're also probably worried. After all, there are so many problems in a marriage, it's very difficult to have a successful one, especially if you really are looking for ever after. Now there's something else to worry about?

Of course, there are all the usual suspects. Everyone seems to have lots of problems communicating, especially out loud, with their partner. I'm basing this on personal observation as a psychotherapist for over 30 years. I also see this on an even more personal basis, by just observing young couples sitting together on a park bench, or at a table at the Mall, or at the beach, and instead of talking to each other, they are busy texting, usually to someone else. Sometimes they're texting each other, even though they're sitting side by side. In my opinion, this doesn't bode well for a long-term relationship.

Images:wedding dresses australia

There are the difficulties of developing relationships with your new in-laws and learning how to handling fighting with your soon-to-be spouse. The list goes on and on but I want to get back to my 2 concerns.

The first, and to me as a Marriage and Family Therapist for many years, the most serious, is about expectations. If I had a dollar for every time a young woman or man or an older woman or man said to me, "My wedding is going to be the best day of my life" I'd have an awful lot of dollars.

I'd like to break this sentence down. "My wedding (a single event) is going to be the best day of my life." If that were to turn out to be true, and based on what couples tell me after their weddings are over, it almost never is true even at the time, then what does that say about your hopes of happiness for the rest of your life? Apparently, these people think it's all downhill from the wedding. Putting such pressure on a single day, a single event causes tremendous stress on everyone to try and make everything perfect, and we all know nothing is ever perfect.

According to GoodTherapy.org, quoting a book by R.S. Miller (2011) called Intimate Relationships, couples site constant pressure, criticism and opinions from others as sources of substantial stress when planning a wedding. They also indicate that finances, and expectations for perfection (unattainable) are equally stress-producing per H.T. Reis, Rusbult, C.E. (2004) in his work "Close Relationships: Key Readings. N.Y. Psychology Press

Why does this concern me? Because when perfection is not achieved, depression and self-criticism often sets in. I see couples come in and feel deflated. They had such high expectations for their wedding day and then there were problems. The band wasn't as great as they'd thought. The food was too cold. The flowers were wilted. The guests didn't seem to have much fun. And even when all these things went really well, many couples feel let down after the day itself. I believe this is because reality has now set in and the real work of being married and learning to live with someone else and be committed to that person forever feels overwhelming. So many brides and grooms feel doubt. Did they pick the right person? Why aren't they feeling all tingly and excited anymore? Can they really stay with only one person for the rest of their lives? Coming from such a high as the perfect wedding expectation back to the real world is a roller coaster ride and can be quite devastating. If couples had realistic expectations for their wedding day it would make for a much smoother transition.

I also often see newly married people, particularly women, who feel angry at their grooms for not making the day perfect. This is setting up a potentially dangerous pattern of looking outside oneself for happiness instead of focusing on finding your happiness for yourself. "Becoming Emotionally Self-Reliant " by zenhabits.net/self-reliance posted on 3-12-2014 stresses how important it is for all of us to recognize and accept responsibility for our own happiness. If you expect someone else to make you happy, you have turned over control for your life to another and then no longer can make yourself happy. So take a second look at how you want to plan your wedding and give yourself space and permission to make it just another day in your life, albeit an important one.

The second serious problem I see in marriages (before they even happen) has to do with the cost.

The current average cost of a wedding (in California as that's where I live) is $36,890! ValuePenguin, a company bringing high quality resources to help consumers understand various topics gathered information from WeddingStats.com and CostofWedding.com as well as TheKnot. Remember, this is the average, so many are much more. Keep in mind that this is for one day, which most likely will not be perfect and may be downright upsetting. Now what if you decided to have a small family affair and take most of that money to set aside toward the down payment on a home?

According to Zillow, which considers itself to be the leading real estate and rental marketplace to empower consumers, the current median value of a home in Los Angeles County is a whopping $495,000. Remember that median means there are half of the homes that are less expensive and half that are more. That's still a pretty scary number.

In Los Angeles, down payments are often 20 percent, meaning that you'd need to put down close to $100,000 for your down payment. If you had set aside that $36,000 you'd be almost a third of the way there the day after your wedding. That's certainly something that would make you both smile.

There are so many expenses in life and getting married often multiplies them as you need a larger place to live, more furniture, often children, and so it goes.

I recommend re-thinking your wedding day plans, and what that day means to both of you, as well as how much you really want to spend on one day versus saving some or most of that money to put toward something more substantial and lasting. It might just solve 2 serious problems in your marriage before they begin.

See more at tea length wedding dresses

Best dress up for bridesmaidshttps://www.fashionindustrynetwork.com/profiles/blogs/best-dress-up-for-bridesmaids2015-08-10T12:18:56.000Z2015-08-10T12:18:56.000Zdingerhttps://www.fashionindustrynetwork.com/members/dinger

It's not joke to tell the bridesmaids how to wear their gowns perfectly. At the weddings, our brides will be the heroine. Wear clean and tidy
No matter you buy or rent a bridesmaid dress, please keep it clean. It’s important to wear clean, freshly laundered and ironed clothes that are free of stains, holes and tears. This may sound like a no-brainer, but a lot of guys neglect to wash and iron their clothes, or continue to wear old t-shirts that have holes in them. Girls definitely notice such slovenly dressing, and it’s a major turnoff.
2. A bridesmaid dress that fit you
Wear bridesmaid dresses that fit. If you want to your bridesmaid dresses from online dresses shops like Persun, a decent bridesmaid dress is very vital for you. The dress should fit snugly at the waist – not too baggy and not too tight. Pants and blazers should be tailored to fit at the waist and shoulders. Dress arms should be an appropriate length, which reaching the wrists when your arms are at your side. Likewise, pants should hit directly at your ankles when in your standing position. Girls are extremely impressed by men who recognize the importance of well-fitting clothes.
3. How to match your bridesmaid dresses
Wear bridesmaid gowns that match. Don’t combine different patterns and prints, like wearing a plaid shirt with striped pants. Keep your look simple, but stylish. For example, pair printed shirts with solid colored pants or shorts. Alternatively, tame embellished or striped pants with a plain polo shirt. A stylishly simple outfit that is sure to get you noticed.

Champagne bridesmaid dresses
4. A right shoes
Wear appropriate shoes. Don’t wear sneakers with suits, or wear flip flops on a date (unless the date is at the beach). Girls pay particular attention to a guy’s shoes, and they can be extremely picky. Always wear black dress shoes and black socks with a suit or dress pants. Wear clean sneakers and white socks with jeans and shorts.
5. The less accessories, the better
Keep jewelry and other accessories to a minimum. At the weddings, accessories are available for our bridesmaids. But too many is not endearing. After all our brides are the heroines at that day. Limit jewelry to one nice watch, a ring or a silver chain necklace. Don’t go overboard with multiple rings, necklaces and bracelets. You can also accessorize your look with hats, scarves and belts.

pink bridesmaid dresses
Where to buy cheap bridesmaid dresses 2015? Everything from sarees, shararas, dhotis and kurta pajamas can be seen at weddings in this state.
The ceremonies and rituals undertaken by the bride and groom are elaborate and numerous. Starting from the engagement, Snaatakam (Graduation Bath) and Kaasi Yatra (or a visit to Kashi), there are other ceremonies like the Mangala Snaanam or the auspicious bath, Aarti or prayers, Ganesha or Gowri pooja or the offering of prayers to Ganesha and Gowr and the wearing of the Mangal Sutra or Holy necklace can all be seen. Each of these special functions requires the donning of different attires. However, there are certain common threads such as the 5.5 yard sarees worn by the women at the wedding that can either be in cotton or silk.

The shopping hub within Andhra Pradesh for wedding attire specifically is Dharmavaram. Dharmavaram silk sarees are splendid and are often chosen as the bridal attire, mainly because of the gold zari and silk brocading that runs through the length and breadth of the saree. More recently, women have begun favoring Kalamkari sarees more. Attendees generally prefer the Gadwal cotton saree as it is a symbol of high status. It is also made of the most expensive linen fabric in the world. The pallu and borders of the Gadwal are crafted in zari. Other popular choices are Ikat and Mangalgiri sarees. The men wear dhoti kurtas with minimal yet exquisite zari embroidery or sherwanis with extensive work all over the ensemble, where the latter is more popular. Hyderabadi pearls, which are famous throughout the country, are often paired with these attires.
On the whole, Andhra Pradesh’s textiles and embroideries have also found their way into international circuits as well.

For more, visit: Wedding in Andhra Pradesh

Attitude Couture Offers Exclusive Wedding Dresses for Beautiful Brideshttps://www.fashionindustrynetwork.com/profiles/blogs/attitude-couture-offers-exclusive-wedding-dresses-for-beautiful2014-04-29T18:12:59.000Z2014-04-29T18:12:59.000ZPriscilla Burgoshttps://www.fashionindustrynetwork.com/members/PriscillaBurgos

New Orleans, April 28, 2014– Just in time for wedding season, Attitude Couture’s new collection of stunning wedding dresses includes a variety of inspired looks for brides seeking the perfect dress for their perfect day. If you happen to be attending a wedding this season, figuring out what to wear to a wedding shouldn't be stressful or cause any unnecessary anxiety. Fortunately for you, the Inspirations & Celebrations Wedding Style Guide is here to help you look and feel your best.

Keep in the mind that choosing a fabulous outfit to wear to a wedding is based on a few key factors – the formality of the wedding you’re attending and the venue of the wedding and reception. Featured in this 2013 Fall / Winter Edition of “What To Wear To A Wedding” are several example outfits that are appropriate for different types of weddings held during this time of year.

What To Wear To An Informal Wedding

What To Wear To A Wedding At A House

Fall and winter weddings can be incredibly romantic, charming, and memorable due to the warmth of the season, changing colors of the natural landscape, and inviting ambiance of many wedding venues. For those who enjoy the intimate setting of a home, a wedding at a house can be a delightful place to get married amongst a close circle of family and good friends. Since a wedding held at a house is usually considered an informal wedding, it's best to wear a comfortable yet ladylike outfit, like a wrap dress. The silhouette of the wrap dress is flattering on a wide range of body types, travels well (since it's usually made out of a stretch jersey material) and can easily be dressed up or down with accessories.

What To Wear To A Wedding At A Ranch

A country chic ranch wedding is a fun way to enjoy the rustic outdoors, simple pleasures of life, and relaxed style that only a ranch or farmhouse can provide. Unless you're up for donning a pair of cowboy boots, you can keep things simple at this type of informal wedding. Opting for a figure-flattering, knee-length dress in a casual and comfortable fabric (like ponte cotton or knit blend) is a smart way to go. Stand out with a solid colored dress or a pretty printed skirt, coordinated with low-key accessories and comfortable shoes that you can kick your heels up in.

What To Wear To A Wedding At A Country Club

A wedding hosted at a country club is usually thought to be conservative, preppy, and traditional. Therefore, it’s most appropriate to wear a feminine dress that is cut more on the modest side. A sophisticated, fitted sheath dress (in a playful print) or a bold colored cocktail dress are fabulous choices. If you want to show off your svelte legs, make sure to balance out the look with a high-cut neckline. In contrast, if you prefer to highlight your décolletage, make sure the hemline of your dress falls closer to your knee, if not below.

What To Wear To A Formal Wedding

What To Wear To A Wedding In The City

A city wedding is heralded for it's elegance, contemporary feel, and sophisticated style. Generally held at upscale dining establishments or modern venues (like an art gallery or museum), weddings hosted in a city setting are usually on the formal side. But that doesn’t necessarily mean you need to wear an evening gown; however, the expectation is that you’ll dress up more than usual. If you prefer the look and feel of a shorter, cocktail dress, make sure it has some dressy elements, like metallic materials or ornate embellishments. If you do choose to wear an evening gown, you can up the sex appeal and edgy glamour with lace accents, peek-a-boo cut-out details, or on-trend mixed media (like leather and silk combos).

What To Wear To A Wedding At A Winery

A wedding held at a winery during fall or winter is especially romantic and charming. The autumnal leaves of the grapevines set amidst the picturesque wine estates, dimly lit caves, and rolling hillsides make for a spectacular wedding venue. This type of wedding is an elegant affair, so it makes sense that formal attire be worn. A floor-length gown in a sumptuous fabric (like silk, organza, or lace) is an exceptional choice. Make sure to bring elegant outwear (like a fur bolero or cashmere shawl) to drape over your shoulders, since wine cellars are on the cool side.

What To Wear To A Wedding At A Hotel

A wedding held at a hotel or ballroom is usually one of the most over-the-top ways to celebrate a marriage. It's expected that guests wear formal attire to such a grand wedding. This is a perfect opportunity to wear a gorgeous figure-grazing evening gown, accessorized by glamorous jewelry and stunning heels. You can even wear a Cinderella-style ball gown, if the wedding invitation specifies black-tie attire.

New on Fashion Rooftopdings List: Siri Bridalhttps://www.fashionindustrynetwork.com/profiles/blogs/new-on-fashion-rooftopdings-list-siri-bridal2013-11-26T20:14:59.000Z2013-11-26T20:14:59.000ZFashionRooftophttps://www.fashionindustrynetwork.com/members/FashionRooftop

New on our Weddings List: SIRI http://fashionrooftop.com/weddings.htm

The Ultimate Ethnic Wedding Gownshttps://www.fashionindustrynetwork.com/profiles/blogs/the-ultimate-ethnic-wedding-gowns2013-05-30T01:00:00.000Z2013-05-30T01:00:00.000ZUrban Fashion Networkhttps://www.fashionindustrynetwork.com/members/UrbanFashionNetwork

The ultimate in African wedding gowns and ethnic bridal dresses was on display in New York City during the annual bridal showcase that is hosted by Circle of Sisters and WBLS Radio. Veils have been a traditional wedding staple for years; dating back to the 13th century BC. ancient Egyptian queens wore a range of elaborate crowns and head pieces linked frequently to the Queen's role of a goddess such as Isis. In modern times, the veil is more a symbol of wedding elegance, and a fashion accessory that complements the dress. The bronze metallic headpiece has gold beads and scales and is a historical replica of headpieces worn by Egyptian Queen Cleopatra. Queen Nefertiti’s gown has hand stitched golden crystal trim, appliqués and beads. But the jewelry and headpieces complete the look. The glass necklace with pearls, crystals and hand blown faceted glass beads has a distinct, royal Egyptian look. The gold, silver, and rhinestone headpiece with a crystal appliqué in it’s center added a finishing touch of regal beauty to the ensemble. However, the gowns that are inspired by culture, such as the Maasai wedding dress are equally as regal. The Maasai people in Kenya are a proud nomadic warrior tribe whose women wear elaborate and colorful beaded necklaces and bold earrings.

The fashion line-up also included flower girl dresses with embroidered colors to match the ethnic bridal gowns. As an option, TeKay’s gowns can be ordered with a set of matching bridesmaid’s dresses and groomsmen’s attire to complete a theme wedding ceremony. TeKay’s cultural gowns and jewelry are fused with western silhouettes, and can be worn for occasions beyond the wedding date.

Creative Director Kimma Wreh introduced the 'Queen of the Brides' collection that was launched early this year. "We are very excited to introduce our new bridal collection. Each dress is unique and has never been seen in the New York market. New York is known for trend-setting fashions so it's important that the Queen of the Brides collection be well received by style conscious New Yorkers. We are also very proud to showcase at an event where African-American brides are the focus. TeKay Designs offers a cultural option for brides who want to add meaning to their wedding by incorporating their African culture into the affair. Sharing your culture does more than define you, sharing your culture completes your entire family. It’s a gift that transcends to future generations”, say’s Wreh.

During the event, TeKay Designs offered a free ethnic bridal gown give-away for a lucky bride that entered their promotional contest. So if you’re a bride who is inspired by culture, and is worthy of royalty; this promotional opportunity was certainly for you.

TEKAY DESIGNS
P.O. Anyway, I’ve just returned from a wonderful time visiting friends and relatives in London. On previous trips to the UK, I had done the usual “touristy” Tower of London, Madame Tussaud’s, Piccadilly Circus, Harrods’, Wimbledon, London Eye etc. jaunts; however, this trip represented an “off the beaten path” approach of sorts.

One of the more interesting things I did was to spend an entire day on June 26 at Clothes Show London, which was held at Earls Court. A virtual “mother ship” for any fashionista indeed. Hundreds of booths crammed with all manner of trendy and vintage clothing, eco fashion, jewellery, undergarments, makeup, mehendi, toiletries, hair accessories, corsets, swimwear, a spa bus and even mini style seminars and fab take-home goody bags chockfull of stuff, some of which were from the main sponsors: Martini, Corona, Kit Kat senses, Cosmopolitan Magazine, benefit Cosmetics and OK! Magazine to name a few.

Overall, I’d say that the expo’s exhibitors were quite trendy and targeted their products to the female, young adult market; so naturally, the show was not mainstream bridal. However, there were some booths that I thought could have been interesting finds for brides-to-be. Two in particular were:

· Secret Hair Boostias – crescent shaped plastic accessories that give your hair a lift for updo’s and sexy pony-tails á la Brigitte Bardot.
