Summer has arrived, and with it, it brought some new fashion trends, and whether you’re into fashion or not, you can’t help but wonder what is going to be the next hit trend. From New York and Milan to London and Paris, lust-worthy fashion looks were served on each fashion week, and to our delight, they seem to be pretty comfortable and totally wearable. However, with every new season bringing a new list of must-haves, how can you tell which trends are worth trying out and which ones you’re better off skipping? No worries, we’ve got you covered. Here, we’re diving into looks that are going to prevail this summer of 2019 and discussing which essentials you simply *need* to add to your shopping list if you want to keep your wardrobe up-to-date. Have a look.

Drawing inspiration from the jungle
The one trend we were seeing all across the runways this season is one that is not for the faint-hearted unless incorporated in small doses with a hint of the pattern here and there. Exploring their wild side, designers such as Dolce & Gabbana and Elie Saab clearly drew some inspiration from the jungle, as they were running wild and styling their models with garments that came in a variety of animal prints, with leopard print being one of the dominant ones. Crimson snake and realistically-recreated python skin were patterns seen on multiple occasions, with models piling on the prints, because – why not? Try this trend yourself and channel your inner jungle cat. Let your animal instincts take over with long flowy dresses, head-to-toe animal prints, or reach for a large snake-print bag to implement the trend more discreetly.

Lovely in lavender
When it comes to specific hues we’ll be seeing all over the streets, lavender tones managed to stand out this season, capturing the attention with their subtlety and softness. An extension of last year’s Pantone’s color of the year, Ultra Violet, lavender hues were definitely favored by fashionistas as they wholeheartedly implemented the trend either by rocking head-to-toe looks in different shades of lavender or combining lavender hues with neutral colors. Some were brave enough to mix the garments in this subtle, feminine shade with pieces in bold, animal prints such as leopard which turned out to be a match made in heaven. Perfect for adding a lovely, feminine touch to your outfit, lavender hue can easily be incorporated into your work outfit, giving it that soft flair of elegance and style.

Feminine in florals
In addition to lavender tones, another trend that was celebrating femininity this season on the runways was one pattern that somehow always looks on-trend, regardless of the season, or the year. However, even though florals are deemed to be a classic print that never goes out of style, how you choose to incorporate it into your outfit is what will set you apart from the crowd. When you take a look at how celebrities style florals, you’ll see that this trend can be worn in a variety of ways. From lovely button-up shirts and cute maxis to floral jumpsuits and high-waisted embroidered jeans – this trend can easily be incorporated into your wardrobe. There is a wide variety of quality women's clothing online, which means you can easily try out this trend at an affordable price.

Throwing shade in style
Another trend that drew attention at recent fashion weeks was probably created following the motto “Bigger is better”, with many designers adding a twist to the favorite summer accessory of many – the hat. Oversized hats, such as the famous Jacquemus La Bomba hat captured at one of the 2018 fashion weeks, were being reintroduced this season, but this time with brands presenting their own versions of larger-than-life, shoulder-grazing headgear that somehow manages to defy the law of gravity. Another headwear trend that was captured this season were sporty visors, which gave off tennis-court vibes. Acting as the perfect extension of dad sneakers shoe trend from last year, the athleisure style of these hats makes them easily blendable into everyday, casual looks. Whether you choose the see-through colorful version from Area or decide to go with a minimalistic, black version of visors from Cedric Charlier, you’re bound to look cool, comfy, and on-trend.

When it comes to the trends for this summer season, there is definitely something for everybody. From floral patterns that bring a touch of femininity to wild, animal prints for those aiming for a more playful, daring look, this season’s on-trend looks are easily incorporated into our everyday wardrobes. If you prefer to stay on the subtle side, try the lavender hues, and if you want to look stylish out in the sun, throw on a big hat or a stylish visor and get going!
