I’m sure there was a puddle when I found the very first Rifat Ozbek item I’ve ever found inside a thrift store.  I literally had to do a doubletake when I saw this label because finding this label in Atlanta is just not rare but almost extinct.  For more than 20 years, fashion designer Rifat Ozbek has been proving that Turkish design can still make its mark in the rarefied world of haute couture.  Born in Istanbul Turkey and studied in London.   In 1984 he launched his company and there were 2 lines: Future Ozbek, a pret-a-porter line and Ozbek, a couture line.  I believe the last collections he has were in 2008 so moving on from fashion Ozbek now designs these fabulous cushions.  I have always thought this designer was brilliant and edgy and judging from the construction of this black skirt there is little doubt.  I found the most perfect blouse to compliment this black skirt and it’s a Trina Turk silk abstract pattern short sleeve top.  This ensemble is fashion forward in the most delightful way…  Stop by doubletake my social media driven boutique in Atlanta.  Toodles for now.  Daniel
