Fall/Winter Catwalk Summary: Animal Print

That's So New York - With the Fall/Winter 2011 catwalk season rapidly passing, there have been a number of fantastically stunning trends hitting the runway, offering a dash of early inspiration for the autumn/winter months as-well as our upcoming spring/summer wardrobes. Throughout Fall/Winter 2011 prints have been celebrated more than anything and if there is one print pattern which never goes out of style, it is the garishly loved and constantly updated animal print. From playful colors to unexpected pairings, the animal print has never looked so modern and new. Contrasting “skins” in similar color palettes paired together are polished and chic, while a chiffon abstract print in a soft pastel is effortless and bohemian. Leopards, pandas, wolves, giraffes, and snakes all add a wild yet playful character to majority of designer collections, including: Hermes, Dolce & Gabbana, Balmain, Oscar de la Renta, Gucci and Moschino. Animal prints have been enhanced with multiple accessories including belts, scarves, handbags and shoes. Of course, for those who enjoy experimenting with multiple trend-fitting garments, animal print trousers, leggings, dresses and even coats can be worn to create a daring yet sophisticated fashion statement. Without doubt this year it is all about the prints, therefore be sure to give your wardrobe a wild turn and opt for the animal trend with that hint of Tribal-Boho, suitable for both the Spring/Summer and Fall/Winter seasons.
