The different processes of making them

It is essential to know about the process if you are going to buy product so you know how to differentiate the best from the worst. Some of the more common methods of t shirt printing are as follows:

1.Screen printing method – In this method, a mesh is used to transfer the ink onto the surface of the t shirt. Some areas are blocked out by a stencil to create the design. A blade is then moved across the mesh to fill it with ink. A reverse stroke with the same blade brings the mesh into contact with the surface of the t shirt. This causes the ink to touch certain areas of the t shirt (the areas that were not blocked) and that creates the print.

2.Transfer printing method – In this method, high temperatures are used to create a rather durable and tough quality of print in the surface of the t shirt. Because it uses high temperatures and heat, it provides excellent colour and contrast to the design on the t shirt. Also, it makes it durable enough to withstand washes. However, the print of the design on the t shirt has a little rubbery finish.

3.Digital printing method – This is the method where large printers (inkjet printers or formal digital printers) are used to transfer a digital image, directly onto the surface of the t shirt. The print or the design has excellent durability and the finish is quite mesmerizing too. However, this method costs a little more than the traditional methods of t shirt printing.

4.Offset printing – In this method, the image concerned is first transferred onto a rubber blanket form a plate and then it is transferred onto the t shirt. It uses a colour by colour based printing technique and consumes a considerable amount of papers in the process. However, this is best option to go for if you are printing custom t shirts in bulk.

5.Cut and print method – This method uses a tiny knife to cut the outline of the desired picture onto a vinyl surface. As the knife moves, the vinyl surface is moved with it. As a result, the vinyl surface leaves a long-lasting impression or design on the surface of the t shirt.

This is the basic information regarding custom printed t shirts that everyone should be aware of. That way you will be able to sort out your priorities and choose the method to go for when you require custom printed t shirts in India.
