Engineering to Fashion

This is officially my first blog post, and I'm not even sure it qualifies as a blog... Just my thoughts...

It's been about a month since I resigned from my job as a Project Engineer in an Oil and Gas industry to attend a course in Apparel Industry Management at FIDM (Fahion Institute of Design and Merchandising). Several thoughts keep crossing my mid about the uncertainty that lies ahead, but my passion for fashion keeps me going and takes me through each day.

Classes started exactly one week ago and I have a cart-load of assignments and tests to prepare for. Luckily, my Engineering degrees (yes, 2 degrees) has more than prepared me for the task that lies ahead.

The most shocking aspect of the transition other than moving from Africa to America is that I have to sit in a classroom with teenagers! So far though, it has worked out really well for me and we get along pretty well.

Thi is gonna be fun and I look forward to each day unfolding!!!
