Eating and Drinking

Bristol is fast becoming known as an excellent source of craft beer, and as a result, there are many great bars to grab a truly unique brew. The Grain Barge is perhaps the most quirky, as it is pretty what you’d expect from the title: a pub on a double-decker barge on the historic Bristol Harbour. Great views and a fine selection of award-winning ales from the South West make it a top place to grab an ale or two.

Ambient, raw and stripped-back, Gloucester Road’s, The Urban Standard has a cool American industrial feel to it, but with a fine Bristolian twist. This little gem is popular amongst locals and offers a whole host of ales, from obscure microbrews to Belgian Trappist ales that will blow your socks off! The menu offers up hearty English and American comfort food classics ands they go a crackling roast on a Sunday.
