Brian Lichtenberg / Geo Print Shift Dress

That's So New YorkDespite the fact that Brian Lichtenberg has released a total of fifteen brand new garments onto the Alex and Chloe store, regrettably I have to admit that there are just two which have grabbed my attention for the right reasons; primarily due to the fact that they are not text-based graphic t-shirts, as this seems to be something which Lichtenberg has taken an admirable interest for this season in-particular. I’m finding it a little odd that I’m a “guy” (of sorts) yet have taken an interest in two of the seemingly most feminine garments currently retailing viaAlex and Chloe. Then again, whoever said that “guys” cannot admire the odd sparkly dress or two, excluding almost every “ladies man” from my high-school, and most probably a fair percentage of my current college year (yet I have to say, around almost every corner at college I tend to lock eyes on an exuberant camp character of some sort gabbling on about how much money he spent on clothes over the weekend and how long a bottle of fake tan would last him; the answer? Not long, not long at all.)

The two garments which I have taken an admiration for are the two Geo Print Shift Dresses; yes, I am referring to both the Geo Print Shift Dress – Blue/Green Geo Glitter and the Geo Print Shift Dress – Gold Geo Glitter. You may have noticed from the title of the two pieces alone that they are the same dress, yet something which Lichtenberg is extremely flexible with is his colour palettes and offering a wide selection of colour options for each design, season to season (this is also a fairly clever way of obtaining all year round wear ability of a particular piece, meaning that if you have the budget to do so, you could easily purchase two or three garments which are the same, yet in different colours; you know, like your teacher does when he/she buys five of the same shirt/blouse in different colours to give the impression that they have a bottomless wardrobe, not realising that all of your friends are giggling and thinking to themselves “Wasn’t he/she wearing that same outfit yesterday? Oh, and on Tuesday? Wait, does this guy/girl ever change?”) - (CONTINUE READING)
