Birds of Fashion Flock Together

The glitzy week was all about bumping into the same crowd, listeningto the same questions; which Abayais your favorite? and what you think of fashion thisseason?

Fashion shows, weddings and finally being able to finish my lovely campaign. I can’t wait to launch it!

BTW for those who are not from this part of the world, our fall starts nextmonth J

Listing my Favorite Trio this week:

Lamya as I recall follows a theme to inspire and guide her designs. This season she presented theHanami collection - inspired by the cherry blossom festival of Japan.

Plentiful Japanese art forms and techniques have been used to structure thecollection. Fabrics like hand-painted silks, Japanese suede, andchiffons were used galore.

Lamya always talks about how a unique look plays an integral part in her abaya style and theessence of turning a particular favorite garment into multiple styles. Thistime I can see it was the two-piece loose-fitted trousers paired with awrap-around top, created on the kimono, Portablesleeves and reversible abayas. Likethe land of rising sun theme she is our rising star!

2@Amal Murad Fashion Sho:

Saks 5th Avenue introduced Amal Murad’s REDAA collection in an informal setting!

The collection, a sophisticated and modern abayas, mostly for cocktail andevening wears, matching clutch bags and a new addition of silk scarves. Iadored the simplicity and elegance of the set up and the chance to seethe entire collection up close.
