December is the month for weddings and last year, several celebrities chose to tie the knot. Two high profile couples, two traditional Indian wedding celebrations, and one common thread binding them both: the same couturier and outfit design. We're referring to the nuptials of Priyanka Chopra with Nick Jonas from December 2018, and Babita Phogat with Vivek Suhag, which took place this week. When Chopra married Jonas in a multi-event celebration at Umaid Bhawan, Jodhpur, she looked to a sindoori red Sabyasachi lehenga for her Hindu ceremony, which would go on to take over the internet. And a year later, a very similar tone-on-tone bridal look has also won the vote of gold medalist Babita Phogat.

This December, wrestler Babita Phogat tied the knot with Vivek Suhag, also a wrestler. The event took place at their ancestral village of Balali in Haryana. Phogat looked lovely in Sabyasachi Mukherjee red lehenga, paired with a matching dupatta and accessorised with a statement neckpiece, maang tika and earrings.

She might have been the inspiration for a Bollywood film, but for her wedding, wrestler Babita Phogat took a leaf out of Priyanks's flimi wedding. She chose to go with the same red lehenga by the same designer that PeeCee opted for, exactly a year ago.
