Are Your Cosmetics Safe?

We all want to be beautiful, smart and fashionable. But how many of us are cautious about our health. Do you know that the products that you are applying in your skin may contain harmful ingredients? Your skin is sensitive and it differs from person to person. If you are using cosmetic products that have poor quality or harmful ingredients you may face problems like skin discoloration, premature ageing, hormonal imbalance, allergies, acne and many more. This can lead to skin cancer also. So it’s important that you use that product that is safe for you and also give good performance. Beautycounter gives importance on using safer ingredients when making their cosmetic products. Recently CEO Greg Renfrew gave interview on TALK BUSINESS 360 and his interview is given below.

Interview of Beautycounter with TALK BUSINESS 360

At Beautycounter, we believe women should never have to compromise their health for beauty. My name is Greg Renfrew and I'm the founder and CEO of Beautycounter. Back in 2006, I became aware of the fact that we are being exposed to potentially harmful ingredients through a variety of means, including skin care, cosmetics and personal care products.

This is partially because the US has not passed a major federal law regulating the cosmetics industry since 1938. And while the European Union has banned approximately 14 hundred ingredients from all personal care products the US has banned, only 11 products can be safer. And we set out to solve a problem ephedra counter.

We believe there's an opportunity to put products that are both high performing and significantly safer into your hands. This is something that we are doing every day. We are a company focused on transparency. There is not a single ingredient used in creating our products that we don't disclose when formulating our products.

We never choose and never use approximately fifteen hundred ingredients. This is our never list. We believe our story is best told person to person. And today there are over 20000 independent consultants building a business with Beautycounter and feeling an enormous sense of pride, of being part of a movement for safer beauty. Success for us is giving people access to information, creating better, safer products and affecting legislative change that moves the industry in the right direction. We believe you deserve better and are leading the way.
