Anne Fogarty vintage 70′s tunic….

When you can look at 1stdibs site and find Anne Fogarty you know you’re in good company.  In 1957 Anne Fogarty became an in-house designer for Saks Fifth Avenue.  She designed not only dresses for Saks, but also all the items that added up to the Anne Fogarty Look: shoes, scarves, lingerie, hats & jewelry.  In 1962 Fogarty opened her own firm, Anne Fogarty and by the late 60′s she was making lovely peasant styles in both mini & maxi lengths.  She retired in 1974 and closed her business but continued to do free lance design work.  She is consider collectible and that’s why when I saw the label I grabbed this vintage 70′s tunic and ran for the counter….  I love a tunic, you just throw on your favorite pair of Balenciaga trapeze pants and off you go….  I’m Daniel Troppy your vintage luxury curator!
