Alexander McQueen: Savage Beauty

The Victoria & Albert Museum in London is set to hold a new exhibition dedicated to the work of Alexander McQueen. The exhibition will feature work from 1992 where he graduated from his Fashion degree at Central Saint Martins all the way until 2010 showing his unfinished autumn and winter collection. The event will be held from 14th March 2015 until 2nd August 2015.

This exhibition follows on from the success of the original event which was held at in 2011 at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York, the event landed in the museum’s top 10 most visited exhibition.

 

Visitors will be able to see how McQueen drew inspiration from the history of London (taking elements from Victorian London in the nineteenth century), how he incorporated expression and freedom into his designs, noticing the shaping of his collection and seeing how he kept to a consistent theme of designs throughout his career.

 

This event has been extended due to popular public demand. It has become the V&A Museum’s most demanded advance sales booking with visitors from all around the world booking to attend.
