Alexander McQueen black wool button dress…..

It finally happened for me… I finally found Alexander McQueen in a thrift store that wasn’t Alexander McQueen for Target.  Not that I have anything against the line for Target but I always believed  one day I would find Alexander McQueen so I can talk about his brilliant artist.  Today is that day!   I’ve always LOVED McQueen because he was a true artist and he reached so far inside himself, creatively, that I admired the fuck out of him.  I remember when he burned on the scene and thought to myself “this man is a genius” ….  He took being bold to a whole new level and as an artist I respected the hell out of him.  Alexander McQueendistinguished himself from the start with ground breaking collections and dramatic avant garde shows.  The Savile Row-trained British designer graduated from Central St Martins in 1995 and went on to work as head designer at Givenchy before launching his eponymous label in 2001.  Since his tragic death in 2010, McQueen’s right hand woman, Sarah Burton,  has re-invented his fantastical aesthetic with a softer, more organic touch.  Finding this LBD McQueen dress is like winning the lottery for me in ever regard.  Thank you Thrift Store GODS for allowing me to find this piece so that I could pay homage to this gifted & talented human being.  Be STYLISH go green.  Daniel your luxury curator!
