I’m having a flashback and I swear to you no drugs are involved. It was 1980 and I was in highschool in south Texas in a tiny town called Raymondville, you driveright by it on your way to South Padre Island and if you blink you’llmiss the entire town. It was right there at that moment where Iencountered my first fashionista and her name was Camille. Camille wasfrom an affluent family, her father was a very successful attorneyand one of the nicest classiest men of all times. Camille was justlike her father, kind hearted that always wore a smile but Camille worethat smile with the most amazing clothes, shoes and handbags moneycould buy in the 80′s…. Camille was one of these people that justexuded STYLE and class, she didn’t have to open her mouth for you toknow she had “it”. Camille would take family vacations to Europe withher parents during the summers and always come back with the biggestGucci or Louis Vuitton bags you could buy. She would wear Calvin Kleindenim skirts which at that time cost a fortune, Lacoste dresses andpolo shirts, but what I remember the most were her Diane vonFurstenberg wrap dresses which brings me to this blog posting. When Ispotted this simple chic ABS by Allen Schwartzwrap dress it took me down memory lane and that explains why I amhaving a flashback here. DVF invented the little wrap dress, she wasthe original but no matter how you slice this luscious fruit a wrapdress is a wrap dress and they never go out of STYLE. I haven’t seenCamille in 30 years but one thing I know for sure is having great tastefor luxury never leaves the soul.
