Chain Stitch Skipped Stitches - tip of the day

It is important to inspect the inside of your garments. Unless you inspect the inside of a chain stitch, you will not find drop stitches (skip stitches). Since a chain stitch is not a lock stitch, if there is just one drop stitch, the seam will ravel. A broken stitch may result in an open seam. The visual sample inspection for workmanship during production includes at least the following steps: Inspecting Items Classifying Defects Recording Defects Marking the Defect Setting Aside Defective Items. After your inspection is complete, determine the cause of the defect and most importantly, how to fix the problem from happening again. Learn more about quality control.
