This summer has been full of sizzling fashion ideas. You can still experiment with some of those trends even if the season is coming to a close. Try a new look and surprise yourself.

Take a Walk on the Wild Side

Animal print was everywhere this summer. The most common type of print was leopard. It appeared on both tight “bodycon” skirts and dresses as well as pants. Some fabrics were partially faded for a nearly ombre effect. Others were much darker in tone. It was popular to pair animal prints with dark red shades for an interesting contrast. Many “fashion influencers” also used black to make the animal prints stand out even more.

Achieve the Shape You Want

Exercise goes a long way toward creating that “bikini body” that many people want. Body contouring services are another option. This procedure removes extra fat and skin that may have been left behind after major weight loss. Common areas for contouring are arm and breast lifts. The “tummy tuck” removes flaps of excess skin over the stomach. It can be very satisfying to look in the mirror and see the results.

The Short List

Summer wouldn’t be summer without the perfect shorts to wear. They help you keep cool during the record heatwaves that hit this year. This summer saw the return of bike shorts. The slim silhouette is flattering for everyone. Bike shorts are an easy way to jump on the “athleisure” bandwagon. Layer it under a blazer if you want to change up your casual Friday at work —just check with your boss first. The ideal ‘80s throwback style is a pair of bike shorts and t-shirt with a brightly-colored logo splashed across the front.

Made in the Shade

Sunglasses are the summer accessory of choice this year. Thick and chunky frames have replaced the skinny look of summer 2018. Aviator glasses are always in style. The aesthetic got a modern upgrade this summer with slightly wider frames that curve down over the face. They are commonly tinted black for an appearance that mimics something a sheriff or cop might have worn.

You don’t have to feel limited to these ideas. Feel free to mix and match them at will. Reading fashion blogs can be another source of inspiration. You might even start a trend of your own.
