Before you try on any great makeup you need to take care of your canvas. The skin is the largest organ of your body. It also seems to require tons of maintenance. Many health professionals talk about how much your skin serves as a reflection of what’s going on internally. Granted, genetics play a huge role in the way your skin behaves. However, there are things you can do in order to make your skin glow. The right face mask is a perfect addition to your skincare regimen. Consider the following all-natural face masks that will unleash your inner goddess.

Oily Skin Mask

You don’t want to completely dry your skin out when you have oily skin. You do want to absorb as much oil as possible so that it doesn’t collect within the pores. This will also prevent blackheads, whiteheads and acne breakouts. Use an absorbing ingredient like bentonite clay. In addition to the clay, add natural essential oils. Tea tree oil is one of the best for detoxifying oily skin.

Dry Skin Mask

When your skin is dry, it’s important to use ingredients that will restore balance and moisture. Honey is a natural humectant that will preserve the moisture that’s in your skin. Take a chamomile tea bag, steep it in a few tablespoons of water and allow it to cool down. The concentrated amount of chamomile tea will be a great liquid base for the mask. In addition to chamomile and honey, add some Aloe Vera as it will soothe any irritation that dry skin produces. Once you’ve created the blend, add a few drops of bergamot oil. Bergamot pure essential oil is really powerful for reducing inflammation that’s often coupled with dry skin.

Anti-Aging Skin Mask

In order to keep fine lines and wrinkles at bay, consider adding a homemade mask to your weekly regimen. Start with a base of Greek yogurt. Greek yogurt contains lactic acid which will get rid of dead skin effectively. Add some citrus to the mix in the form of lemons. Lemons naturally brighten the skin. Plus, Vitamin C is really amazing for cell turnover. Cell turnover is important for maintaining bright skin.

As you incorporate these options into your skincare regimen, give them time to really work. Before you apply the mask, thoroughly cleanse and steam your skin. The point is to make sure the mask penetrates as deeply as possible. As you incorporate the right mask a few times a week, this will create an excellent foundation for gorgeous, glowing skin.
