The Best of Saks Fifth Avenue
Saks Fifth Avenue kicks off a week of runway shows with the finest women
and men’s designer clothes from its spring 2013 collections. A one-hour
cocktail reception precedes the 8 p.m. show.
After-party will be held at the Palm Springs Art Museum in Palm Desert for The Best of Saks Fifth Avenue ticket holders.

Fashion Week El Paseo™ presents the second annual Le Chien Couture
Fashion Show, Saturday, March 16, 2013. Expect to see large and small,
pedigree and mutt strutting their stuff on the Fashion Week runway in
the Big White Tent. The doggie models will all be decked out in the
latest spring fashions by dog couture designer Linda Higgins. A one-hour
cocktail reception precedes the show with a silent auction, live music
and other surprises.

Art and Music Love Fashion
Two emerging designers — one inspired by music, the other by art —
present their collections on the runway March 17 at Fashion Week El
Paseo™.
Deborah Drucker, who has spent most of her life involved in fashion,
makes her design debut with a collection of chic, ready-to-wear women's
fashions that reflect her rock 'n' roll sensibilities and elegant style.
Victor Tung, a San Francisco artist and couture designer, presents
one-of a-kind wearable art for women that he creates from his own
fabrics.
A one-hour cocktail reception precedes the 8 p.m. show.
MONDAY, MARCH 18 (2 Tickets $140.00 Value) 7 p.m.
FIDM/Fashion Institute of Design and Merchandising presents A Salute to Three Decades of Debut Graduates

Benefitting Junior League Palm Springs Desert Communities
Celebrate the work of more than three decades of designers who have
appeared in Debut, the college’s annual homage to its graduating fashion
talent. Their work includes day and evening fashions, as well as a
special collection of fashion jewelry. A one-hour cocktail reception
precedes the show.

El Paseo Runway
The Girlfriend Factor, a local nonprofit providing education grants to
women seeking to improve their economic position in life, hosts a
cocktail reception followed at 8 p.m. by a runway spectacular featuring
the newest and best of spring 2013 fashions from more than 15 El Paseo

Houghton Designer Katharine Polk
Houghton’s head designer, Katharine Polk, debuted her first RTW
collection during the 2012 Fall/Winter Fashion Week at New York’s
Lincoln Center. Drawing inspiration from Katharine Hepburn, Bianca
Jagger, and Patti Smith, Polk designs for the independent woman who
desires an effortlessly chic, yet sexy and strong look. Originally from
Malibu, Polk graduated from Fashion Institute of Design and
Merchandising in Los Angeles and began her career New York City. A
one-hour cocktail reception precedes the 8 p.m. show.

Gilbert Chagoury, Designer of the Week
Gilbert Chagoury of Chagoury Couture debuts his spring 2013 collection
of red carpet-worthy designs. The Dior-trained Beverly Hills couturier
uses the finest fabrics to create exciting designs. A one-hour cocktail
reception precedes the 8 p.m. show.
