Avoid this mistake by naturally drying your hair. Alternatively, blot your hair with a dry towel and gently shake out the hair strands with fingers.

  2. Too much heat: Most women are in the habit of using heating devices (flat irons, hair dryer etc.) frequently. This should be avoided. If it is a necessary to use a heating device, make sure to use a heat-protective aid before using a device so as to shield your hair strands.

  3. Frequent Washing: Washing hair (with chemical formulas) too often can make hair dry and brittle. If you wash your hair every day, it might lose its original texture as well as shine. So, it is advisable not to cleanse your hair regularly. If you want to cleanse it frequently, always use a good sulfate free shampoo for this purpose.   8. Skipping Trims: Most women get their hair trimmed once or twice a year. Remember – even if you trying to make your hair longer, regular trims are extremely crucial to keep your locks free from split ends and ultimately, healthy.

  9. Using Hot Iron on Wet Hair: Damp hair and heating devices shouldn’t be used at a time. This is because those devices can burn the follicles of wet strands, resulting in weak and broken hair. So, use a heat iron once your tresses are dry.

  10. Using elastics on hair: Many women use elastic rubber bands to tie their hair. Some even sleep with tight bands on their tresses. This should be avoided as these bands can pull hair out.
