New York is losing the Garment District to rent control and California requires a permit to have your garments produced there. In the 60's 95% of America's Apparel was made in the USA, today it's less than 5%. Years ago Texas was covered with small garment factories. A friend's grandmother was a sample maker in the Neiman Marcus Factory in Hillsboro. Malissa had relatives who worked in a Jordache factory in Crockett. Playtex once owned a factory in Jacksonville. All these…

Hi Malissa,
I received your message. So what was your question about these guys than they do seem ti have any verify able clients. They look like a start-up. I wonder who are the photo credits. They seem to be a model portfolio company but have no specific clients then again. If you were to manage my business i would like to know who is captain of the boat, what is his success, clients, etc.
I think it is a start up. If you are really interested, see if they have a business license, DBA, Trademark, Dunn & Bradstreet #, EIN, etc. We can't all be perfect when we first start, sometimes we are more artists than business people. I am on both sides of the fence.
But you mentioned he is starting again? The cities listed are misleading of course, they imply they have offices or locations in those cities, that is misrepresentation. They can always say they have done work there, but it would have to be for their company, not anyone they have associated work with. Sort of premature to make that sort of claim.
Hi Malissa,
I am just looking for someone to create the initial samples for me and then do a small run. Can you provide that?
Thanks,
Angela
Nice shots Malissa!
