Kevin Sanders is a southerner at heart with flair for fashion; styling his celebrity clientele for everyday wear, editorial, and high profile events. His work has been seen down red carpets of the Oscars, Tony's, Grammy's, Golden Globes, SAG and People's Choice Awards. Sanders’ A-list award winning client base has grown progressively because of the streamlined polished looks he creates, and his easy going nature.
Who can forget when forget Jamie Foxx’s triumphant year of 2005! Foxx’s pinnacle captured in photographs of him proudly walking the red carpet of the Academy Awards in fashionable funky deep-purple Oswald Boetang suit, hand-picked by Sanders and tailored by Boetang himself. As he always does, Foxx’s appearance highlighted Kevin’s meticulous and catered vision, unique for each client. At the Golden Globes, Grammy's, SAG and People's Choice Awards, Foxx looked sterling in Kevin’s ensembles. Foxx looked sterling while walking the red carpet and accepting awards, capping off a year of success – on the silver screen and in “Best Dressed” editorials.
Sanders expertise in (specialty) demographics and lighting were put to the test when re-vamped Soledad O'Brien's look on CNN’s American Morning. Kevin kept Soledad looking polished on and off the camera, be it red carpet events, public appearances, etc. Then he went on to style a majority of the anchors on CNN.
Born in Northern Arkansas, Kevin worked with his father in their family business. Kevin’s worked hard, be it construction to cattle farming, and even commercial salmon fishing in Bristol Bay, Alaska. After earning his Bachelors degree at the University of Central Arkansas, his love and unfettered passion for the fashion industry brought him to New York in 2003 to hone his talents. He arrived in the Big Apple with nothing more than a dream, drive, and determination to be a top fashion stylist. In his first position with Macy’s, Kevin developed relationships with vendors and assisted on editorial shoots; landing him his “first gig” as a professional fashion stylist.
Over the past four years, Kevin has worked with a variety of publications from US Weekly and Harper's Bazaar, to Ladies' Home Journal and Travel to name a few. He has been featured on CNN, TV Guide Channel, WB’s Daily Buzz, etc. Kevin’s close relationships with the world’s leading designers and top fashion showrooms have allowed him to work directly with design houses in securing one of kind pieces to create an authentic look for his selective clientele.
Kevin Sanders is a full fledged New Yorker, but an Arkansas boy at heart, with his optimistic and hard working attitude. He enjoys the city’s museums, playing rugby in Central Park, and of course shopping for his clients.
