Color and Light Necklace

This necklace is handmade using ribbon, felt, and vintage rhinestones. The pendant, or bibb, consists of three layers of blue felt. I cut into the felt and embedded a multitude of brightly colored vintage glass and plastic rhinestones, in a variety of shapes and sizes. Rather than a chain, I have sewn a navy blue ribbon onto the pendant. Each side of the ribbon measures 18 inches or 45 centimeters long, to allow for adjustable length and a generous bow tied at the back of the neck. The pendant dimensions are 4.5 inches or 11.5 centimeters across, and 1.5 inches or 4 centimeters tall. Inspired by a friend who paints with color and light.
