Hi Laveena!
Corel Draw is another excellent vector program which could be your basis for computerized fashion design. You can /should learn either Illustrator or Corel draw they both vector based,( photoshop is pixel based)
what did you mean CAD?
did you mean autoCad or fashion Cad systems like Lectra or Gerber?
if so they are very essential for fashion design but they are more production systems than design systems, it all depends what kind of fashion design we are talking about. if it is more graphic design for fashion , than it will be Corel draw/ Illustrator+ Photoshop, if it is production ( computerized patternmaking/grading/marking etc.) then it is Lectra or Gerber , but i would say a vector based program, either Adobe Illustrator or Corel Draw, must be in your arsenal, everything else is secondary
Let me think of my recommendations about how to learn computers i may recommend a book for you or... something else, let me think for a day or two
good luck :)
Hi Laveena!
in my opinion you absolutely have to know Adobe illustrator and ideally Photshop in addition to Adobe illustrator, to be ready for today's fashion industry demand . let me know if you have any questions.
