How to Add Activewear to Everyday Looks

The majority of people buy expensive workout gear to make themselves exercise, but little do they know that they could wear athleisure as a part of their everyday look as well. In recent years, fashion has seriously affected fitness, and those who have been in the fitness world for a long time came up with the idea of making their own activewear collection. The truth behind this whole thing is to create apparel that is comfy, chic and most importantly, versatile. This also inspired many celebrities to launch their own athleisure collection that can be both used for and outside the gym. Therefore, we’ve created a list that shows how you can include your activewear into your daily looks and make it fashion.

Sports bra growing trend

Scrolling through some Instagram posts, we all come up with the same question: Is there a living person who doesn’t own CK briefs and a sports bra of the same brand? I guess the answer is negative. But, who are we to judge since these famous pieces mix perfectly with denim jackets and high-waist slimming leggings.

Ladies, take notes from the very best

If you follow Gigi Hadid on social media, then you must have noticed she’s the ultimate queen of athletic streetwear style. If someone knows how to wear a sports bra, leggings, sneakers and a black bomber jacket matched with a designer bag, it’s her. Adding a pair of skinny shades won’t hurt either. This A-lister knows how to properly use her comfy women’s activewear even when she’s not sweating in style. Also, one of our favorite Gigi looks was when she styled a cropped sweatshirt over a sports bra and leggings in the same color. She even tied a second sweatshirt around her waist and completed her looks with a puffer jacket. Who’s the style queen again?

Change the shoe game

Skintight leggings and heels aren’t only cool when Kim Kardashian wears them for a daily stroll in Calabasas, ‘cause I’m sure you could own this look as much as she does. Also, Mrs. West knows how to make sweatpants look chic by wearing them with a simple tank top, and beige heels. I’m pretty sure you have these items hiding somewhere in your closet, and they’re waiting for you to make a bold fashion statement. So swap your sneaks with heels and enjoy your outdoor activities.

LA inspired

Not long ago, a former reality TV star Morgan Stewart launched an athleisure line that’s fashion-forward and versatile. Its unique pieces made of soft materials will make you have second thoughts about going to the gym because they also look club appropriate. An olive windbreaker and biker shorts might sound casual, but once you put on makeup, style your hair and slip into heels, it gives you a whole new vibe. If you are lucky enough to own something from this collection, then you’d definitely know how to style your look.

Don’t forget to accessorize!

Adding jewelry to your workout gear should be optional. For those who like to keep it minimal, a watch, initial necklace and some mini hoops are enough. Also, a golden layered plate necklace would be ideal for spicing up your athleisure chic. Oh, and don’t forget to put on some trendy sunglasses.

Sugarcoat your workout gear

For the casual street vibe, yet comfy and cool, always start with more casual pieces like an Adidas grey sweatshirt that’s oversized and comfortable. Instead of wearing regular leggings or jeans, go for the black leather leggings that are lit every season. Add a tailored camel coat because cool and warm tones perfectly go together. Finish the look with some white sneakers and you’re done. This can be your style inspo for running errands on weekends, or if you’re heading to an office for a few hours. On the other hand, black workout pants that are high-waisted and super tight go well with a grey sweater and tubular shoes. To make your outfit pop by adding a cute outer piece, wear something red or olive. As for the handbag, crossbody bags are always a great match!

Beauty Essentials for Acne Prone Skin

Dealing with acne issues supposed to stay in our teenage years, but unfortunately, sometimes that is not the case. It is a nightmare trying to cure it, and if you do, after a million dollars spent on all sort of products, they will come back eventually to mark some other territory on your body. It is so frustrating to see yourself covered with those red dots, and it can take away your self-esteem so easily. The good thing is, we have all been there, we all had our fight with these boring little things, and there are some useful tips to help you wash them away for good. Let’s try to make it work together, following these few steps.

Manage the stress

If you are tired, nervous, or you have a strict deadline your skin will also suffer from that stress. The researches at the Stanford University in the Archives of Dermatology study concluded that college students had more acne problems during the exams, because of the stress. If you consider that you sleep poorly and eat less healthily while you are under stress, it is no wonder it affects your skin. To deal with stress is not an easy task, but it can improve our other living qualities, not only acne, so if you have some time you can try to meditate, it can help.

Your skin knows what you eat

There is an obvious link between diet and your skin. Sometimes, if you change your diet, you can see that your skin is also going through some changes. There are quite a few myths about acne and food connection, and some of them have been investigated by dermatologists. After several types of research, they agreed that diets should not be used as a remedy for acne but it is always a big plus too keep in mind that what you eat can complement your treatment. It is also proven that high glycemic index food can make your acne get worse.

Keep your skin clean

When we say keep it clean, we really mean it. If you have acne problem you have to change a face cleaning habit and get the best acne skin care you can find. Using a regular soap is not an option anymore; because they have a high pH (8 to 10) and it can really irritate your skin. You need to be careful, and really get to know your skin type: if you wash it too much, it can dry it out and inflame it even more. The best thing you can do is not to skimp on quality products for your skin, and just go with the ones that will work for sure.

Pimples: to squeeze or not to squeeze, that is the question

How many times did we stand in front of the mirror and pop that pimple out, just because we thought it would make it go away faster. Obviously, that is not the case; a pimple is an inflamed patch of tissue that contains bacteria and oil, and if you pop it you can turn a one-day problem into a permanent one. The only cure is to resist squeezing because almost every a pimple can go away in a week.

If you want to cover them up, use only the most quality products

First, you need to start with all cleaned, dry skin. To cover a pimple, you need to use a concealer with thick and dry consistency; otherwise, it can just slide down from your face. You don’t want to be cheap when it comes to these products, because you want the ones that will hide your pimple and at the same time make you look natural and fresh. There are some other treatments: such as ice (to make it less irritated), color corrector (opposite colors can neutralize one another) and spot treatments if you want to lose it right away.

To deal with your acne problems faster is to follow all of the advice you can get, talk to your dermatologist, and find all you can about the specific issues you have, and most important use only quality and verified products. It will make your acne battle much easier to achieve, once and for all.

Leading Fashion Trends in Activewear for 2018

During 2018 there has been a sharp rise in activewear consumption. It seems that New Year’s resolution came further than January, with a need for sportswear still rising in August. Activewear clothes not only make you feel better during physical activity but motivate you to train as well. Once you get that perfect training outfit, you won’t be able to get out of it. These are some of the most popular trends in activewear this year.

hero-1-830x400.jpg?width=640

Plain colored leggings and block prints

Keep those colorfully printed leggings safe if you love wearing them because 2018 is the death of colorful leggings. Trends are coming back to simple, plain sportswear, mostly made by matching the top and bottom parts. Pastel and basic colors are in to replace heavily printed designs. You can also find a lot of retro-like, block prints on leggings, as well as side-printed sayings like “pro athlete”, “#bossgirl”, “be fearless” and similar. You can have a personalized message printed as well.

Streetwear design

In 2018, everyday moving has become a common thing. Going to school or work is only one of the required daily travels. Many job descriptions include everyday train or plane rides, which are difficult to endure if you’re not in comfy clothes. Due to this, sportswear has been widely influenced by streetwear designs, making comfortable sweat suits and leggings suitable for casual looks that you can combine with your everyday clothes.

Jay-Ahr-resort-2014-3.jpg?width=640

Plus sizes

Every year around, 50 million Americans pledge to increase their physical activity and lose weight. Even so, obesity remains one of the biggest health issues in the US. Considering sportswear, plus-sized girls easily drop out of exercise when they see there are no suitable sports clothes they can wear. However, many popular brands like Nike, Puma, and ASOS are starting to make plus sized activewear, and it is becoming more and more wanted.

The cropped sports bra

There is nothing that goes better with high-waisted leggings than a cropped sports bra. This combination is the perfect women’s gym clothing. Sports bras keep your breasts tight so that they don’t get in the way when you exercise, while high-waisted leggings secure your stomach and back parts while giving you a slimming effect (especially if they are black colored). A cropped bra is more practical than regular T-shirts since it is made from special fabrics with moisture wicking properties to enable sweat to transfer from the inside to the outside of the garment. They are also good for combining with high-waisted jeans for an everyday outfit.

Comfy and sustainable

All activewear has to be comfy and sustainable, and this is an everlasting trend. If you try a piece that doesn’t feel comfy, don’t buy it. Sportswear fabrics are made to be sustainable but how long they will last depends on how you take care of them. Most of all, you wouldn’t want your new gym pants to be ruined after just one exercise. In order to prevent this, always follow the cleaning instructions on the label. Sportswear is washed separately, in cold water. Different kinds of fabric require different washing treatment, but if you put your running shorts in cold water with some soap right after you finish your exercise, you’re doing the right thing.

Leading fashion trends in activewear follow the leading trends in physical activity. More and more, non-traditional sportswear retailers are putting in “active” lines of clothing. Runways are becoming more crowded with sporty outfits. It’s how you feel about your body that is behind these activewear trends. The real trend you should follow is leading a healthy and active lifestyle, while sports equipment is there just to help you.

Top 4 Wedding Fashion Trends in 2018

Weddings are a multi-billion-dollar industry that is only growing. People feel like this is the one time when they need to splurge and go all in to celebrate this once-in-a-lifetime event. And the most important part: the bridal gown. Women all over the world are prepared to spend a lot of time and money to find the perfect wedding dress to walk down the aisle in, and the industry is taking the hint. Couture fashion is spreading and there are new styles of gowns coming out all the time, so let’s see what are the hits for brides this year:

c97c44f5-24dd-4bc7-b83b-85fbc585e05e~rs_768.h?width=640

Lower budget

Let’s address the big one first: wedding dresses are no longer reserved only for bridal salons and high prices. Fast fashion shops are now jumping onto the bandwagon and putting brides-to-be in beautiful gowns for a fraction of the price of a traditional dress. There aren’t nearly as many dresses to choose from, but a lot of brides are willing to sacrifice their choices for the lower price. Of course, the price itself isn’t the end of it. These dresses need tailoring to make sure they fit perfectly, but even with that, the brides are getting a bargain. Of course, there’s always a chance that the dress won’t be what you imagined it to be, so make sure you’re getting it from a shop that has free returns.

Colored dresses

White is out. Sure, it’s been out basically forever in various cultures, but if we’re talking about the western culture, white has been the norm. Well, not anymore. We’re seeing more and more brides looking for color in their wedding outfits, with even black bridal gowns surging in popularity. If you want to add some subtle color into your outfit, you can look at Oleg Cassini Store wedding dresses that are ivory, rose gold or silver. Alternatively, you can look for lightly colored appliques and beads for the dress to add some color while staying in a colored dress. You can also try to add color through your accessories, like shoes, veils, tiaras and other jewelry. Remember that your bouquet will probably be colored, so match the flowers to your dress.

Sleeves

When we think about a traditional wedding dress, it’s usually either a strapless sweetheart, or a deep V with thick straps. However, there are different types of sleeves coming into the picture, and no – they’re not just cap sleeves. The first ones worth noting are so-called arm warmers. They are long sleeves that hang from the upper arm, but completely skip the shoulder. They are often not connected to the dress, but they can be. Another trend, which can be combined with this one, are the bell sleeves. Bell sleeves have been a staple of high fashion from the middle ages, so it’s obvious why they’re coming back, and the lightness they allow the dress is what captivates the brides.

Bows

Definitely the most versatile trend that was shown on the runway at the beginning of 2018 were bows. From thin, straight bows on the waist, to huge bows that cover the entire back and hold the straps together, bows are the defining detail on a lot of dresses. You can make them a part of your dress in almost every part of the gown, so find something you like and join the trend.

Every bride deserves to feel beautiful on her wedding day, and all the trends in the world should serve as an inspiration to help you find your perfect dress. You don’t have to follow the trends if you feel like it’s not what you will feel best in, but don’t stray away from trying out something new – you never know what you might fall in love with it.

It seems that fashion trends have been changing even faster than Lady Gaga’s appearance. And we’re not only talking about the female fashion, as men’s fashion is also something that many people pay attention to. And yes, this is also changing, but even though it is, why not keep the best of the best and still look handsome as hell? We’ve seen many things this year as far as men’s fashion is concerned – from Hawaiian shirts coming back, to bum bags and socks with sandals, but here are the top 5 trends that you should simply keep rocking:

How-to-Wear-Chinos.jpg?resize=665%2C435&ssl=1&width=640

Still in the 90’s…

You’ve probably noticed that wearing sportswear and combining it with casual clothes (also known as athleisure) was one of the most important trends of the current (and previous) year. If you haven’t noticed, perhaps you should get your eyes checked. However, 2018 was a bit different than previous year mainly because sports brands such as Adidas, Tommy Hilfiger or Fila revisited the 90’s, thus spicing things up with a touch of retro. And this is definitely something that we’re still looking forward to. Wearing two-piece tracksuits, retro sneakers and drawstring trousers is a trend that we’re not ready to quit yet. So basically everything that you can see in Clueless or Cruel Intentions is up for grabs!

…but also in the 70’s

This decade is apparently a tremendous inspiration to many fashion designers nowadays as it seems that we’re always coming back to the almighty seventies. However, the things are a bit different now as we bid farewell to the disco clothes, disco hair and platform shoes – it’s a different culture from the 70’s that we embraced. We’re talking about roll necks, corduroy, silk shirts and patterned knitwear. And let’s not forget the 70’s-inspired eyewear designs that we’re rocking this year. And you know what’s funny? This style is not unfashionable at all. As a matter of fact, it looks amazing, so keep it up for as long as you can. If you, however, opt for this style, make sure that you have black, brown or beige in your color palette.

mens-trends-spring-2015-men.jpg?width=640

Are you smart?

2005, 2018, 2054? Who cares, smart clothing is here forever and it will never go away. Girls love guys who wear suits and ties, so why the hell not keep this trend? However, even though this is a trend that has been here for generations and generations, tailored clothing is what’s most important now, and let’s keep it that way. It’s always funny when you see a guy wearing a tuxedo that’s too baggy, so why not follow the example of Australians who really do pay attention to their suits? That is why getting yourself one of many great mens suits in Sydney or other cities where you know that tailors are good is a great idea. There are different suits that you can choose from – from the formal ones that you can wear on certain parties, to the ones that are semi-formal and will look good on an informal dinner party.

Stripe down

We’re talking about vertical stripes – did you guess it? Back to topic – much like checks, stripes have been around in the fashion industry for a long time, but it seems that this time they’re here to stay. At least this and next year, that is. If you take a look at photographs from different Fashion Weeks, such as London Fashion Week for Men, for example, you will see all the amazing combinations that you can make with vertical stripes. Not only that, but they can adjust to any style that you’re rocking (and can make you taller which is always a good thing). Even if you’re wearing your top and your bottom vertical-striped, it can look amazing, which is a definite proof that we need to keep this trend up and running for the rest of the year (and maybe for the next one, if nothing better comes along).

Havana, ooh na na

Why go to Cuba when you can bring Cuba to you? That’s why you should keep that Cuban collar shirt that you have in your closet (and if you don’t – what are you waiting for? Go get yourself one). These are extremely practical, especially for the summer. They’re airy and light which can definitely save your day on a hot summer day. Not only that – they also look incredibly good, especially if combined with nice and tailored ankle-length pants.

The time will come when we will have to move from these trends in order to embrace the new ones, but one thing is clear – all these should be here to stay until that moment happens. All of these trends are still extremely fashionable and look hella good, so continue to rock them. You have our blessing!

Top to Bottom Beach Fashion Essentials

Going to the beach is the most normal thing in the world. Or at least it would be if we would stop obsessing over the way we present ourselves at the beach. But is it all just being vain? Actually – it’s not. The things we wear when we hit the waves is not only an aesthetic choice, it is a practical one too. So let’s see how you should pick the things you wear to the beach, top to bottom:

summer-fashion-trends-3.jpg?width=640

Hat

The sun is high up and it’s aiming right at you. We all know that putting on sunscreen is a must-do when we go outside, but you can’t exactly apply it to your hair. But if your hair is the only thing standing between the sun and your head, things can heat up really fast and you might even get a heat stroke. This is why hats are crucial for providing shade for your head while you are lying on the sand and enjoying yourself. When you’re in the water, wet your hair or go in with the hat – just because you don’t feel the heat, it doesn’t mean it’s not affecting you.

Sunglasses

Our eyes are such delicate things, yet we rarely do the work needed to protect and preserve them. Sunglasses are a crucial part of eye protection, and you should always wear them when you are going out during a sunny day. If you have prescription glasses, get a pair of shades that match, because you shouldn’t have to sacrifice your quality of sight to protect your eyes. Sunglasses can also be a bold fashion statement, and you should look at guides to make sure you find a pair that suits your face perfectly.

girl-on-beach-1024x768.jpg?width=640

Bathing suit

There’s no going in the water without the proper gear, and a swimsuit should be the first on your list. Whether you opt for a creative one-piece, a stunning bikini or anything in between, you should feel good in the things you are wearing. Choose the right size and fit for your body type and make sure everything is held in place both when you are in the water and when you’re out. If you like sports activities on the beach such as volleyball, you should make sure your swimsuit allows you to enjoy those activities. Don’t shy away from bold prints and patterns, crazy cut-outs and any embellishment you like.

Cover-up

Contrary to popular belief, a beach cover-up isn’t just for people who feel insecure about their bodies in a swimsuit. It is actually a practical piece of clothing that will shield your skin from the sun and give you some warmth when a cool breeze comes on and you still haven’t dried off. Go for something loose that you can throw on easily and that will dry fast once you take it off. If you want to transform it into something more, tie a belt around the waist and make it into a top you can wear in the evening with a pair of shorts.

1953f26783008d4b003de1322f55afd2.jpg?width=640

Sandals

A lot of people love going to the beach barefoot, but it’s actually not that great for you. The hot sand can sometimes be literally too hot to walk on, and the beach can be littered with both natural and unnatural sharp objects you can easily cut your foot on. So, make sure you have a pair of sandals, preferably ones that you can also wear into the water. And if they are stylish enough, you can easily throw a maxi dress on after swimming and your look is complete.

Now you know your essentials and you are ready to have some fun in the sun!

Must Have Fashion Items for Summer 2018

The time for refreshing cocktails, summer dresses and a lot of fun is almost here, which means you need to change your warm clothes for something lightweight and breezy and start enjoying the summer weather. From cute tops, through stylish swimwear and comfortable footwear, you’ll need a few essentials to help you look trendy and comfy during the warm summer months. If you still haven’t figured out what those must-have items are, check out the list we’ve made for you.

rBVaEFmmyzmAWoCxAAHco3qRpE0096.jpg?width=640

Various types of dresses

Short, midi or long, a cute summer dress is absolutely an essential piece of clothing you need in your wardrobe. Floral patterns and bright colours are a big fashion hit, so feel free to look for the cut that best fits you and flaunt that dress at any time of the day. A maxi dress is a perfect piece for a house party, a bridal shower or a casual weekend outing, so don’t hesitate to invest in one or two and you’ll be ready for the summer in no time.

Comfortable and stylish tops

Tank tops are great for casual occasions and for you to wear them at home. They’re comfy, basic and can be worn even at night if you accessorize nicely. Crop tops go with basically everything, and if you match them with a pair of ripped jeans and some wedges, add a stylish bracelet and massive earrings, you’ve got a cute outfit ready for night time. If you’re not a fan of cropped tops, you’ll find cold-shoulder tops a perfect alternative. Whether you decide to wear them with skirts, shorts or pants, you’ll hardly need any jewelry because they make a great outfit on their own.

Swimwear

A stylish swimsuit is always a must-have for the summer season, so if you still haven’t found your perfect piece, it’s time you go shopping. Whether you choose a one-piece or opt for fashionable designer bikinis, just make sure they fit you perfectly. Not every figure will look good in every swimsuit, so make sure you know what fits you best. Also, it’s good to pay attention to your skin tone when you pick the colour of the swimwear, because orange, for example, will look unflattering on fair skin, while it’ll bring out the best in caramel skin tone.

Trendy sandals

From flats through wedges and all the way to block heel and sky-high heel sandals, the choice of footwear is quite diverse this year. All you need to think about is what catches your eye the most and make your final choice. Wedges will go great with any dress, and if you are short but you don’t want to feel uncomfortable after making two steps, wedges are the perfect choice. Flat sandals, on the other hand, are a great match for walking to the beach and if you wear a cute pair of shorts and a crochet top over your bikini, you’ll have a perfect little beach-ready outfit.

Chic accessories

You can’t be stylish enough without a few chic accessories, so look for a wide brim hat immediately. It’s perfect for the beach or a casual walk. Not only is it a stylish accessory but it’ll protect your face and shoulders from the damaging UV rays as well. A trendy kaftan and a pair of shades are always must-have summer pieces, so don’t forget about those either. A cross body bag is all you need during the hot summer months, and you can wear it with skirts, dresses, and shorts, regardless of the footwear you choose.

Final thoughts

Summer is almost here and if you still haven’t prepared all the essential wardrobe pieces, make sure you do it as soon as possible. Invest in a few cute dresses, stylish tops and some comfy footwear, and don’t forget to look for a new trendy bikini and add a few accessories to the mix, to create fashionable summer outfits.

Summer Fashion 2018 Must-Haves

Summer is just a month or two away and we are more than ready to welcome the sunshine. This means that it’s prime time to start thinking about your summer wardrobe, and all the things you want to get, make and style. Being ready when the heat hits means that you won’t have to spend the first few days of summer in jeans and shirts that make you want to boil in your own skin. But what are the trends for this year? Let’s take a look together because there are some amazing things in store(s) for us!

product-image-506952717_1024x1024.jpg?v=1512315046&width=640

Every body bikinis

There’s a popular infographic that says: “How to have a bikini body in two steps? Number one: have a body. Number two: go to the beach.” And this couldn’t be more true. For too long we’ve been told that we need to go on ridiculous diets and uncomfortable exercise regimens to achieve a body shape that is worthy of being seen in a bikini on the beach. Well, no more. Thank to designers like Ashley Graham and Gabi Fresh, we have swimsuits that celebrate bodies that have for too long been deemed unfit for the beach. And you won’t see just an array of black cover-all one-pieces. These are bright colored bikinis, current, stylish designs with all the support you might need for a larger bust. There are no “unflattering” parts that need to be hidden: it’s time to let it all out and have fun in the sun!

Shorts

We’ve neglected shorts in the past few summers and that was definitely a mistake. Shorts bring so much to the table, because they allow us to have a clean, professional look like pants, without the long legs. More than that, wearing something like light silk shorts will allow you to move more freely than if you were wearing a skirt. They come in so many prints and styles, and they are easy to style in different ways. If you wear them with a button down shirt (even one without sleeves), it will look smart-casual and be perfect for date night or a daytime business meeting. But if you throw on a T-shirt and some sneakers, you are ready to run around all day to finish up errands and stay active no matter what.

Summer-Staples-Shorts-Vest-11-of-12.jpg?width=640

Longer-than-before dresses

There is a wonderful retro trend coming back this summer: midi length dresses of all shapes and prints are back with a vengeance. They were never completely gone, but it seems like even people who’d normally opt for something mini are now going for something a bit longer. It is the perfect length to keep you cool and let your legs feel the breeze while eliminating any chance that a gush of stronger wind will make it fly up. If you don’t like where the length hits your legs, you can always search for something with a slit on the side, so that you can show off more of your shapely legs, while keeping the midi length.

And if you love bright colors, then you’ll love what this summer has in store. After the pastel spring we’ve had, the prints coming our way are cherry, rainbow and lemon yellow, so look forward to some fruity summer outfits. Matching sets are staying and they are more stylish than ever, with plenty of stores letting you mix and match your perfect outfit with a large selection of items in the same print and style. So while you shouldn’t throw your cardigans in the attic just yet, you’ll want to make some space in your closet for the newcomers – there’s going to be quite a few!

Activewear Trends for Summer 2018

The ever-growing fashion industry is always expanding to different branches and lifestyles, and activewear is no different. Not only is the style becoming more and more popular outside of the gym and workout scene, but there are now high-end stores dedicated exclusively to activewear, and they are more popular than ever. 2017 was already an amazing year for activewear where we’ve seen a lot of amazing trends, sets and items, and we are only taking it further this season. So, let’s see what the activewear scene is bringing:

activewear-trends-and-stylish-brands-you-need-to-know.jpg?width=640

Sets and co-ords

Amazing leggings, shorts, tops and sports bras are all coming together to create some stunning matching sets. They are the easiest way to get ready for going to the gym, or just to lounge in, because there’s no need to plan out outfits ahead of time. Sets come in all different combinations, so you can find one that caters to your activities. If you are a yogi, then leggings and a sports bra will be great as they let you see your lines and figure. If you prefer weightlifting, then shorts and a tank top can be the best option for you.

Pastels

One great, yet very simple trend this year is pastel colors. Light pastel colors are generally an amazing choice for spring, because they bring some brightness and life into every outfit, but combining them with activewear has some additional benefits. If you are training outdoors, the lighter colors will reflect the rays of the sun and help keep you from overheating.

varley-lookbook-crop-top.jpg?width=640

Mesh

While mesh fabrics in clothing aren’t anything new, they are a rising trend in activewear. Look for stunning Ivy Park mesh insert sports bras and similar items that have mesh or laser cut-out parts. They are a great way to let your skin breathe while exercising, while also looking exactly on trend. The thing you want to look out for when getting these items is the quality of the fabric: a fabric that is too thin will easily rip and won’t give you the support you need. You should also look at the positioning of the mesh and cut-outs, because if it is in an area that is often rubbing with another part of the skin, it might cause irritation.

Neon color pops

Yes, we’ve just mentioned the toned-down, light and bright pastel colors that have been taking over, but there has been another trend. Stemming from last year’s monochrome trend, with a simple addition of some neon-colored details, we got a completely fresh, new look. It is perfect for people who have been avoiding the strictly monochromatic pieces out of fear that every bump and dip on their bodies will be brought into focus. A pattern also doesn’t show sweat stains as much and looks more interesting.

Comfort first

There has been a huge gap in the industry where designers have struggled to put together comfort and support with style in sports bras. But that is all changing. With new, innovative designs and fabrics, you can now enjoy your exercise with all the support you need. With companies like Enell making sports bras available even for women with larger chests, now everyone can be comfortable no matter what kind of exercise they prefer. And the best part is – style isn’t sacrificed.

With activewear being worn more and more, both by people who are gym rats and ones that just like to lounge in the clothing, we are sure to see even more trends and options available in the future. As for spring and summer this year, we are focusing on comfort, color and ease of pairing.

Your Personal Shoe Shopping Guide

Shoes have always been quite a tricky item to shop. There are many factors besides their appearance that should be considered. They should match your size, preferences and most importantly, support your feet the best way possible. Here is how to make sure you always buy the right shoes.

3-reasons-why-online-shoe-shopping-in-pakistan-is-the-new-trend-4.jpg?width=650

Size

Even though this sounds as a no-brainer, size is one of the most important things that should be considered. For starters, you need just three things – a blank sheet of paper, measuring tape and a pencil. Place your foot on a sheet of paper – ideally while wearing a pair of socks you usually wear with shoes, and make a mark at the tip of your big toe and at the back of your heel. Measure the length and compare it to the size chart of the store.

However, have in mind that your feet are not the same size, usually the right one is a little bit bigger. So firstly, make sure you measure both of your feet, and consider the measure of the larger one.

Read the return policy first

The world should revolve around protecting the consumers. When you’re searching for quality women’s shoes online – the first thing you should consider before clicking that ‘buy’ button is site’s return policy. After all, no matter how beautiful and dreamy those shoes are, if they are not your size or are just plain uncomfortable, they are completely useless – in which case, you’ll want to return them and order other ones. And while most shoe stores offer reasonable return policies, some just don’t, and this is something you definitely want to know beforehand.

Shoes that are good to your feet

Buying comfortable and supportive shoes is an investment for your foot health. Start off with your own feet and look at what you already have in your closet. Take them one by one and place them on the top of your foot drawing. You will notice that your comfortable shoes match the outline of your foot most closely. Next, identify those that cause pain. Usually for women these are shoes with narrow toes or really high heels. Check to see if the toe of the shoe is narrower or shorter than your toes.

And once you are ready to replace your uncomfortable footwear, here are some tips that will help. First, when shopping for shoes, wait until the afternoon, because our feet are naturally expanding during the day and may even swell in hot water. Next, wear socks that you intend to wear with the shoes you are buying. Ask the salesperson to measure your feet and once you try the shoes on – stand. Make sure there is at least a half inch space between your longest toe and the end of the shoe (if your index finger can fit inside, you’re good). Check the soles to determine are they sturdy enough to protect your feet from sharp objects and do they provide cushioning. Finally, walk around a little bit to determine how they feel. Do they feel snugly or pinch or tend to slip off? Trust your own level of comfort. Walk on both carpet and hard surfaces to see how they react against impact.

Basic quality

General advice is to mostly focus on materials that breathe and don’t trap moisture. To check the other quality properties of the shoe, firstly bend the front part of the shoe upwards – only one third should bend while the rear two should be stronger and difficult to bend. Next, grab the front and the back part of the shoe and try twisting it – the quality shoe shouldn’t be easily deformed. Press the shoe against its back spine and squeeze the sides that support the heel in order to check are they strong enough and not easily deformed. Finally, check all the stitching both inside and out.

Make sure you have all these tips in mind next time you go shoe shopping. They will save you so much money, time and nerves. You have the right to know what you are spending your money on – always remember that.
