thanks for your comments about the bags etc; it's really quite interesting to see the difference in trends at the moment, the thing is I suppose it depends on the market i'm targeting. I loved the idea of the solar panel bags. I think I'll think about those designs a little more, maybe for the men's range.
As for the designers I don't know any male designers that may be interested in marketing in the US at the moment, however i'll keep it mind.
I've listed a few places you should try if you feel you really have something different:
Browns - South Molton Street.( boutique)
Liberty - Regent St (independant department store, designer mix)
Selfridges - Bond Street (designer mix department store, a great place to be stocked, they deal with companies of all sizes)
Diverse - Independent boutique for men and women.
This is also a good web site for looking for the most 'now' things in London: http://www.urbanpath.com/london/menswear/index.htm
Hope this helps...
thanks for your comments and suggestions. Maybe I will look into alternative ways of selling in the US as fast fashion which is been a trend in the UK for a while is slowly on it's way out and people are looking for investments pieces. My aim is to sell to independant boutiques who have more flexibility in there buying; do you know what the middle to high end trend is as the moment?
have you done any recent fashion shows?
I am a fashion designer . you can see some of my work on www.myspace.com/mysteriesofafrica..
