to be honest you will be hard pressed to be able to execute this project with anyone outside the US, especially the logistics of it. You may have a better chance with the meat packing district NY but on short notice get ur wallet out. Alternatively if u know a really good Naija tailor who will take direction then u may be in luck to be able to make it happen. Otherwise major dramaz ahead m'dear....Holla at me though
This is a very short notice but may be possible to pull off if you have all fabrics and trims supplied.
Do you have any patterns or prototypes started?
Please see our website at to learn more about our company and services.
We are located in the USA and have great customer satisfaction.
Thanks and hope to hear from you soon!
Your asking for the near impossible. 12 looks that are separates, that's 24 garments. To pattern, work up samples, get your approval, tweak the design is at least a 6 week process. Truth be told anyone that accepts the job now is probably a fly by night, they only care about the money and you'll end up with an inferior product. Take a deep breath, start working on your next season now, so you ahead of the curve, and save yourself headache, heartache, and $$$$$.
Hi everyone, thanx so much to all who replied and for all ur honest advice. i did take it all in deeply, & took a step back to look at the big picture. it really was a huge job & aside frm the money, i just didnt feel right putting that amount of pressure on someone or even two ppl. i decided not to push that job forward, @ least not for july, because that was just asking for headaches, u were right, im sure. so i do still want the job done, but with months of time to do it in. if it could be ready by this fall, for spring 2011, that wuld be better right? so im shooting for that. i really appreciate u all as im so new to this and i want to see something ive designed brought to life so bad. lol, but just as much as im anxious, i want to be smart aswell & do it the correct way. there really is nothing worse than a low quality, rush job, that youve payed an arm and a leg for. so thank you all. please k.i.t. with me, so that i may have more experienced ppl to turn to for advice. xoxo :)
real talk gurl how far u aight?
Spring 2001 is showing now. So what you need to focus on for spring Showing is Fall/Winter 2011. Unless your doing direct to consumer.
Hey guys, @ Wallo: i decided to just do one good design & have it ready for a local auction. something small, lil less pressure. so im good, thanx. @ Malissa: yeah, i was gona do direct to consumer, but fall/ winter 2011 is good too. ill have even more time. @ both of u: im wrking on some things myself too cuz i just wana have some live garments to show in case someone ever asks just to see my wrk. (i can sew, im just still not very fast & flawless yet) somethings i can put a model in and start a portfolio @ least. i also have a seamstress friend of mine, constructing a garment i designed as we speak for my portfolio. ppl have asked to interview me, but how can u call urself a designer with nothing to show? so im taking baby steps. :)
Take the interview, your just talking. You need to have buzz to help you network, I took the view you are now, but because I didn't talk , no one knew about my work and I have all these out-of date designs now that I can't sell. Put what you have on shop flick or sense of fashion, let people know you make garments as you get orders, they'll understand. Get a Model mayhem account and network with photographers make-up artist and hairstylist, there's always someone wanting to work on their portfolio and you get great shots of your apparel to boot. An actress from "Friday Night Lights" has been sporting my work and handing out my card because someone I networked with gave her my info.
My name is Indra from Bali. I could make a dress with a pattern of Tye dye which can rarely be made by other people.
I guarantee if you make in my company, most likely someone else is difficult to imitate.Because using secret formulas and good human resources.I send some samples picture to you.
If you have motif do you want make i can make it.
I guarantee sewing, quality and difficulty level patterns.
What do you think?
