HOLLYWOOD star Russell Crowe believes buying the South Sydney Rabbitohs ruined his marriage to Da nielle Spencer, contributing to their eventual split.
The 51-year-old made the candid admission during an interview with American television show Sunday Morning on CBS.
Crowe bought the then-fledgling rugby league team in 2006 and threw himself into helping the Rabbitohs turn their fortunes around. They won the NRL premiership last year.
“It probably cost me a marriage,” the Gladiator star said of co-owning the team.
“It took a lot of work, man, you know? It took a lot of work, and I already had an extremely busy schedule.”
