I have a question about pitching my line to a store i am trying to sell to. Many moons ago when i was in school, i took a class called line development, in which each week, we would come up with different lines, and then pretend to pitch it to our class. My question is, based on my limited experience in selling my designs (ie none) how do you pitch to a store? How do you set up a presentation? In the industry, when buyers would come to the showroom of the company I worked for, we would set up presentation boards and actual samples, but what if I am not meeting with a real “buyer” but more like a shop owner, or a manager of a store, etc? I have an “idea” but I am just not sure how to make it happen, and what’s the most professional way to go about it. Any advice is appreciated, from boutique/store owners, buyers, or designers who have been here, and what they did that worked for them. Thanks so much Luv and hugs Dani
