Hi Mercedes :)

I was drawn to your page, I am writting to you, because I to am in the "starting out" phase of my design bussiness, i live in Memphis tn, when I realized I wanted to design ( jewelry) for a living there was no where around for me to learn, so I taught myself, by messing a lot of materials at first and then online tutorials, i later started at the u of memphis  taking art classes were I one day stumbled across a fashion merchandising class were in just that 1 class alone taught me so much the program is amzing but I have had to take time out of school, so I couldn't continue, but since then I have been able to sill learn a lot online own my own, which is my point to you...http://www.onecoast.com/retailer/library-advisor-article-detail.asp...

Alba....

We just completed our course, our participants just completed their fashion show....one of our online students traveled from St. Louis to showcase her work on our NJ runway.  It was fabulous!

Art institute has online classes. You would be writing a lot of papers.

I just got of the phone with them! Im going to be taking the Fashion and Retail Management Program... Im hype!

That's awesome!

I currently go there for fashion design. The only classes are a lot of work. Make sure you set aside time for the work and you will do great! =)

i really want to do the fashion design program but im stationed in the middle of the dessert and can only take online classes. i cant wait to get back to the city so i can actually go on campus!

Thanks for your service, apart from the advice below. see if you can get together with a designer to really know the business end of design. This is very important, it will also help you in making connections with PR people as well. you will need this to develop and build your brand.

Best of luck and return home safely.
