Fashion is nothing but an art form, and art is never restricted. Earlier it was the royalties who set trends in fashion. The kings and queens were the first influencers humans came across. Today, the factors that help fashion designers decide on trends are inspired by everything- politics, sub-cultures, music, movies, and social media influencers. To give an example of how politics is related to trends, once designer Jaclyn Jones speculated that the United States’ strengthened relations with Cuba would inspire vibrant colors and palm patterns.
