“FASHION IN FLIGHT ~ THE COLLECTIVE” COMES TO AUSTIN
New York & Miami talent producing exciting Runway Fashion Show & Experiential Event, placing Austin on the International Stage
Austin, Texas (May 19, 2010) – During Austin’s Fashion Week, one of the most exciting events of the week will occur on Thursday, August 19th, 2010. This benefit event will be a remarkable evening with proceeds going to the charity, “Austin Pet’s Alive.” Bon Vivant LLC, and Jessica Rae Anderson will make over the Mexican American Cultural Center with an “In Flight” theme, for a night of fashion, DJ’s & live music, as well as great food and drink from local eateries. Models will grace the catwalk from Wilhelmina Brown.
Bon Vivant LLC, Nichole Wright, in Austin, Texas & Jessica Rae Anderson, Lifestyle Stylist, based in Miami, Florida, decided to host the “Fashion in Flight” for many reasons.Both women spent over ten years in New York City most recently and wanted to bring the excitement of a “true runway” Fashion Week to Austin and both have adopted dogs in the last year. “We really wanted to host a unique event that nurtures the design and fashion industry, gives participating brands international PR reach and supports an animal charity.” Jessica Rae Anderson, Lifestyle Stylist will lend a distinctive edge to the runway Styling and overall event image.
“Fashion in Flight” ~The Collective” - is designed to showcase emerging designers from New York, Austin, Miami, Paris, Milan. Both producers are currently in the process of selecting boutiques, as well as designers. There will be a limited amount of boutiques and designers that are showcased, in an effort to keep the audience focused and give participants maximum exposure. The scope of exposure of this event will have a broad reach, not limited to Texas, but also to those constituents in Los Angeles, New York and Milan Design Schools, where our talent comes from.
Sponsors are actively being invited as well. “Fashion in Flight” will have a register of important high-profile attendees. It is an excellent opportunity for your company to be prominent before a very important group of designers, buyers, architects, entertainers, celebs, political leaders, media, socialites, fashionistas & boutique owners. Rare Magazine has signed on to be the official local media sponsor and will be covered by the Austin Chamber of Commerce newsletters each month going into the event.
The highlight of the evening will be the “dog models” who are up for adoption. Several dogs will walk the runway in “doggie couture” and show off their wares. Our event is intended to find homes for destitute dogs, and raise money to support the “Austin Pet’s Alive” charity, and it’s programs to make Austin a “no kill” city.
Finally, an after-party will take place at the exclusive Hotel Saint Cecilia, open to VIP ticket holders, sponsors, media, as well as participating boutiques & designers.
