NEW ORLEANS -- Girls from around the metro area who are being treated for cancer and blood disorders got the chance to shop at a Metairie boutique Sunday without paying a thing. It's called Boutique Day, and about 100 girls got the chance to pick out beautiful chiffon prom dresses for the annual Prom of Champions event. For the girls and the volunteers, it's the event of a lifetime. "It's amazing. Just love to come here and get pampered and pick out dresses. It's just fun. What girl wouldn't want to do this?" said Reyion Roberson. Rebecca Nordgren, a manager at Chatta Box, said, "This is an opportunity of a lifetime for my staff, my friends and these girls, to just feel normal for a day and feel special, and for us to feel special making them feel special." Chatta Box hosted the event. The girls also got to make hair and make-up appointments for the big prom night. This year it's on April 3.
