Atlanta Sample/warehouse sale

At the event planning company that I'm working for, we are planning on doing a warehouse/sample sale for accessories next summer featuring local and hopefully international designers. This would be the first time our company put on an event like this and I don't have experience with this sort of thing either. I'm hoping that I can make this successful since it would focus on the Atlanta market and we would just be selling accessories (shoes, bags, jewelry, belts etc). I was wondering if anyone here has any experience with these types of events and how to make them successful. Also, if anyone has advice on how to get great well-known designers and sponsors involved (or would like to be involved themselves) it would be greatly appreciated. I really want the sale to feature at least some known brands so that people will want to come.
