need some guidance to get in the field...

Hi, I am a graduate in Fashion & Apparel Designing from India. Want to start my career in Fashion Merchandising.Currently residing in Memphis-US. What is the eligibility criterion to get in this field???Is it necessary to be a US degree holder to get in the industry???How much possibility is there to get H1 visa??? It would be a great help if i can get some guidance from experienced people... Eager to get started in the field.... thanks!!!
