New to fashion industry, Los Angeles, CA

I am also new to the fashion industry. My previous work experience has been in Finance until I went to school for Fashion Design. I am trying to break into the industry. Does any one have any suggestions on how to go about doing that? Also, if you have information on hot spots in LA to network, please let me know.

    I have almost the same situation. I went to school to be an accountant and am now trying to get into the fashion industry. I would suggest looking for boutiques in the area or consignment shops that will sell your designs for you. Face to face is always best when trying to network so just go out there and introduce yourself to everyone. Also, post some pictures of your designs so that we can all tell you how great and talented you are :)
