My obsession

Any illustrators out there? Would so love to hear any sort of advice/info on how to turn my obsession into something that pays the rent (go figure). I am in limbo between illustration and design - I am tinkering with the idea of turning my art into a line, maybe a long term goal, and am hoping to relocate from L.A. to the Bay Area. Anywhoooo...used to work in the industry ages ago, and now have the time and drive to make my way back. Don't have the degree, but I know I have the talent and ambition. Would love to hear from freelancers on ways to actually make money for doing what they love. Thanks!
