The HUB is the first invitation only, branded fashion trade show in Asia. The HUB, will take place from 28-30 August, 2013, at Asia World Expo, Hong Kong. The bi-annual event, will present a dynamic line-up of exhibitors looking to launch, develop or expand their businesses in the region. The inaugural show will present over 100 brands and engage 3,000 targeted visitors from the Asian retail sector
EXHIBITORS AT THE HUB
The 60,000 square feet exhibition space will be divided into four sections Heritage, Indigo, Street and Contemporary, each with its own appointed curator and distinct style. International brands exhibiting at the HUB include:

BUYERS AND VISITORS
An estimated 3000 visitors will attend the HUB including the key retailers and distributors from the region actively seeking to partner with international fashion brands.

Buyers will be those responsible for buying seasonal collections for multi-brand boutiques and department stores. This group will include buyers from Lane Crawford; Harvey Nichols; I.T. Retail; Club 21; Siam Paragon; Isetan ; Alter; D-mop amongst others from Korea, Japan, Greater China, South-East Asia and Australasia.
The second group of visitors will be retail operators, those who partner with fashion brands to open mono-brand stores in Asia. These will include: Imaginex, Bluebell, IT distribution, YGM, Swire Resources from Hong Kong, Meters/Bonwe, Mark Fairwhale, China Outfitters from China Itochu, Onward Kashimaya from Japan, Lotte Group, Eland and Kolon Industries from Korea, Central Group from Thailand and True Alliance from Australia.
The HUB has received support from government and private organizations including InvestHK, Shanghai Mart China, and Britain’s UKTI. This support includes access to databases of over 600,000 businesses that operate in the broader apparel, textile and retail sectors. However visitors to the HUB must apply and fulfill the criteria to ensure that all visitors are valuable business partners and buyers for the brands.
A comprehensive industry education programme will also compliment the event, giving visitors and exhibitors access to seminars and presentations hosted by leading figures from the industry and brands on various facets of fashion in Asia, including retail trends, marketing and logistics. Informal conference spaces will also give the diverse industry network opportunities to connect and collaborate.
THE HUB’S FOUNDERS
Richard Hobbs and Peter Caplowe are the co-founders of The HUB. Richard Hobbs is the owner and operator of several premium denim and sportswear labels, with over 24 years’ experience in the region. Serial entrepreneur, Peter Caplowe, brought Japanese denim brand, Evisu, into the international luxury denim arena. Together, their aim is to help fashion brands connect with the right partners to expand in Asia.
