- The inaugural Caribbean Fashion Awards well be held at the Dr. Joao Havelange Centre of Excellence in the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago on April 12th, 2008. As the first fashion awards event of its kind to be held in the region, This event will provide worldwide exposure for the Caribbean’s top fashion designers, as well as photographers, models, hairstylists, and make-up artists, among others.
Officially launched during Absolute Caribbean Fashion 2007 held in October in Barbados, the Caribbean Fashion Awards is envisaged as a truly spectacular event, with a Masquerade Ball and Polo Match to precede the actual awards gala.
Several other countries have indicated their interest in participating in the event. These include Antigua & Barbuda, Bahamas, Barbados, Guyana, Jamaica, St. Kitts & Nevis, St. Lucia, St. Vincent & the Grenadines, and Trinidad & Tobago
