Patent leather is continuing to gain in popularity with stars like Paris Hilton showing it off in everthing from her handbag to her headband. Gold & Silver touches of metallics are also another hot trend seen throughout the runways that have now been accepted by the mass public. The metallics are popular in everything under the accessory-sun category not quite making their way into all aspects of clothing. After playing out the skinny leg pants were beginning to see the pendulum swing in the opposite direction alltogether...that's right wide leg is back!
New looks for the upcoming fall season seen on the runways are far and many. A global mixing of clothing from the middle east to the far east has been shown by designers like Balenciaga, Oscar dela Renta, Vivienne Westwood, Jean Paul Gaultier and many others.
Gray is the new black with designers like Carolina Herra, Michael Kors, Calvin Klein, and Vera Wang showcasing it in everything from coats to mini dresses.
One thing that we are beginning to see in many designers collections that I do not think will catch on with the overall mass is the use of feathers. This plumage is seen accenting dresses, coats, and skirts. I beleive it will be hard to carry over this expensive look without making it look cheap. Althoug it has been done in the past I feel it is one trend that we will not see last long on the streets of fashion today.
Dear Jennifer,
How are you? I saw your profile. It is interesting and very nice.Basically I have completed Fashion Technology course and working in apparel industry as Sr.Merchandiser. I would like to make friendship with you if you like. Please send me email about you more. my email id is susanfashion@rediffmail.com.
Jennifer - welcome to the Fashion Industry Network.. Thank you for taking the time developing your profile page. Yesterday, I actually added the new question of "what is hot in fashion". You did a great job responding to that question in the profile section.
I see that you are currently searching for employment. You are welcome to check out my jobs sites at FashionJobSearch.com , ClothingIndustryJobs.com Also, at my main site called Apparel Search, you can visit the EMPLOYMENT section. In that section you will find link to Employment Agencies. I generally think that using an agent is a good way to go.. They make money if they find you a job (and you do not have to pay, the employer pays). Therefore, I think it is a good method.
If you ever have questions about the fashion industry network or my other sites, please do not hesitate to ask. Thanks again for joining the network..
By the way, if you post a blog message on your page, it does get posted for a short time on the main page of the site. So only write things that you do not mind others reading...
